A DAY IN THE LIFE – 26TH EDITION

Welcome to the Twenty-sixth Edition of A Day in the Life! The Rebel Broadcast Team interviewed Captain now Major Kip, Officer Cadet Erin, and Brigadier General Glo about their lives beyond being awesome in RPF. Join us as we explore their hobbies, daily routines, and the unique experiences that shape who they are outside the uniform!

Kip

Hey there!! It’s time to think about what I do in my day-to-day!
My day usually starts around 7:15am by alarm (or by my very loud cat). My mornings are usually quite groggy, getting clean, dressed, and finding something for breakfast in quite a blur. I brew up some coffee (my favorite is apple crumbcake coffee!) for my 20ish minute drive to work. My ride to and from work is weirdly enough one of my favorite things- it’s my own little concert! I’m usually performing some Broadway, or rotating between the 90’s-10’s alt music stations! I work as a bookkeeper at a gift store, so when I arrive I open up the drawers and go and hide in my private office. Keep a secret- as I do my work, a small section of one of my screens is usually a combination of CPJ and my RPF chat!! I like to peek over and see what’s going on throughout the day. If it’s an EU event day, I tend to take my lunch late so that the bills and coding goes to the side for a bit to join the hype and the event!! EU events usually happen right at the end of my work day, so I then finish up whatever I was doing for the last 30 minutes and head home for another stellar Kip performance. Once I’m home, I usually do whatever chores need to be done, then give in to the aforementioned very loud cat. She’s 15½ years old and deaf, so she doesn’t understand how loud she is, but she knows that it’s treat time when I get home!!!!! I tend to cuddle up with her and catch up on my server posts throughout the day after. My evenings usually go like this after- attending whatever division event is going on that night, then joining my small discord group for an hour or two (probably watching Digimon!), then when my partner comes home from work we call and chat as I draw, then we usually watch YouTube together until I fall asleep on call.

Erin

My regular day starts at around 6:45am. I wake up and do all the basics: brush my teeth, do my skincare, and get ready for work. After a short commute, I’m in the office by 8:45am. My work days tend to be incredibly busy, so I usually don’t get a second to breathe until lunch! I always grab lunch with my favorite coworker where we catch up and play the New York Times games. I also spend lunch catching up in the RPF main chat. After lunch, it’s back to the grind! In the afternoons I have back to back meetings until 2:30pm. After those finish up, I have some head down time until about 4:30pm where I can catch up on any work I haven’t been able to complete. After work, I head straight home. I feed the cats, eat a quick dinner, and then change and get ready for volleyball (I’m a coach!). I have practice 3 nights a week for 2.5 hours, with tournaments almost every weekend, so it gets busy during the season! Volleyball usually ends around 9:45pm. Once I’m home, I like to watch a show (usually Gilmore girls) and pack my lunch for the next day, finish up any house cleaning, and play Club Penguin of course. Once I get tired, around 1am, I do my skincare, brush my teeth, and go to sleep! Then it’s back to the grind the next day! Thanks for following along :)))

Glo

so right of the bat, I’ve probably got about 4-5 alarms that I will 100% snooze on. I’m far from a morning person so I can’t wake up without them. First thing I do when I finally wake up is grab my phone, see if I have any worthy notifications and scroll on TikTok/Instagram for at least 10 minutes. Then I open up discord to see what the rebels are up to for a bit hehe. After I have my phone break I get up and go straight to getting ready for the day! I’m a firm believer in skin care so after I brush my teeth I do my whole skin care routine 🙂 then I walk to my closet and contemplate my outfit for a bit. Final steps are to put on makeup if I’m not in a rush, and pack up my backpack with essentials, ESPECIALLY my airpods.

A huge thank you to Kip, Erin, and Glo for sharing a glimpse into their day-to-day lives with us. And of course, thank you for reading! We appreciate you stopping by and hope you enjoyed this edition of A Day in the Life. Until next time!
