Welcome to the 20th edition of the Art Column, where our reporters (currently Yvng, YipYorp, Sharki, and Cracked) see and critique pieces in the #art channel and choose which to feature from members of the Rebel Penguin Federation.
By definition, “art” can be best described as…
“…the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”
Due to this, the Art Column’s purpose is to promote all types of art. This includes whether it’s digital or physical, something you can hear or something you can see, and even if it’s RPF related or not. However, please do also keep in mind due so many members in our group, not everyone will get recognized each week. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy our weekly gallery and keep creating!
Featured Artist
Garfield Pixel Animation made by Cyber, RPF Private
This week’s Featured Artist is Cyber!
Cyber really loves digital art, and shares lots of his artwork in the RPF art channel! He was bored in class one day and decided to create this sleepy Garfield piece. He used Piskel to make the pixel art, then animated it into a GIF, and did an awesome job. It reminds us of our amazing 2ic, Elexonck!
Club Penguin & RPF Art
Being the Rebel Penguin Federation, we have to include art related to us in this post of course! Here are some Club Penguin & RPF related art made by our fellow troops!
“club penguin” made by z3ming, RPF General
“i like club penguin”
“RPF Officers” made by Coric, RPF Colonel
“I always love drawing stuff for RPF, and I always try and think of different ways to draw. I thought ‘hmm, why not draw all of the officers at once’. 14 drawing hours later and I’m honestly happy with the result!”
“RPF Penguin Guy” by Jos, RPF Corporal
“A random thing that a guy drew in like 5-10 minutes”
Theme of the Week
In this segment, we will be announcing a different topic every week to challenge our artists and see what they come up with. If you would like to participate, post your art in #art with the hashtag we include here for a chance to be featured!
This week’s Theme of the Week was nostalgia!
“Puppies in the Sunshine” by Blorckitis, RPF Private
Special Feature
What do you get when you combine sugar, spice, and everything nice with RPF troops? This Picrew depicts a teenager in the style of the popular cartoon Powerpuff Girls. The trend swept across the RPF this week, beginning when Missy shared the picrew link in a vc. Each person was able to make their character unique with their own personality and flair, and some even added their own edits to truly customize it! Featured in this collage are panini, Ellabella, moon, Coric, crazzy, Yvng, Spirit, Legacy, Avril, jaeun, Yeti, milly, lanie, YipYorp, Missy, princhi, Watts, z3, heather, woogs, lime, kayla, FrenchFry, Ash, jjsnowflake, Link, Mac, Yas, Paul, elexonck, and esh. Picrew trends are always fun, and we can’t wait to see what the next one could be!
Thank you to everyone who submitted art!
Next week’s Theme of the Week will be… Love! In honor of Valentine’s Day this week, think about the people, places, and things that you love. No matter what love means to you, we can’t wait to see how you express it through your art! Make sure to put #rpfaclove in the caption when you post your work if you’d like to be featured here next week. Don’t forget: art includes drawings, music, photography, paintings, and more! Be creative!
All art presented was given permission by their creators to be included in this post. Never steal or take credit for another person’s work!
Thanks for reading!
