Who’s ready for the most nostalgic party of all time? The Club Penguin News Team is back with everything you need to know about the 2023 CPL Wayback Event! From quests, to free items, we have you covered! So, without further ado, let’s jump right in!
Quests
Just like all previous CPL parties, there are quests that need to be completed. This time around, there are 10 of them in total.
1. For the first quest, you’ll want to head to the Coffee Shop. Simply click on the cake candles, and the quest will be completed.
2. For the second quest, head to the Cove. Click on the binoculars that are sat on the Lifeguard Chair. Wait a few seconds and you’ll see Octi the Octopus float by.
3. For the third quest, head to the Boiler Room. Wait about a second or two for the timer on top of the drawers to go off.
4. For the fourth quest, head to the Lodge Attic and collect the Wreath pin. Its actual location can be found in our Pin Tracker.
5. For the fifth quest, simply be in the Coffee Shop with 20 other penguins. Once you are, the quest should be completed.
6. For the sixth quest, head to the Iceberg. Once there, you’ll see a racetrack. Simply start at the finish line and run counterclockwise around the track three full times. Be sure to stop at each of the lightbulbs along the way to ensure that your progress is saved. You’ll know that you’ve completed the quest when the sign turns FROM “Lap _” to “WINNER!”
7. For the seventh quest, head to the food booths at the Beach and Mine Shack. Please note that no apron(s) is required! We recommend that you do the Pizza emote (EZ) to ensure that the quest gets completed.
8. For the eighth quest, grab any instrument and head to the Forest. Simply walk onto the stage and press D with only the instrument equipped to your penguin. To complete the quest, ensure that you stay until 20 other penguins are doing an animation.
9. For the ninth quest, grab any Party Hat and head to a heavily populated room. Simply press D wearing only the hat and, as soon as 40 other penguins are dancing as well, the quest will be completed.
Trivia
As you can see above, the 10th quest is to complete all of the Trivia questions spread throughout the island. These are what the trivia booths look like.

Head to the Coffee Shop and grab the free Club Penguin’s 2nd Year Party Hat.
