Treasure Hunt is a two-player game located in the Captain’s Quarters room aboard the Migrator. This game can only be played when the Migrator is docked at the Beach, during a visit from Rockhopper.
Gameplay Explained
In a game of Treasure Hunt, players work together to uncover as much buried treasure as they can before they run out of turns.
Each player has a side of the board (top or left) and 6 turns each to dig up a line of sand in the hope of revealing a treasure.
The three types of treasure include:
- Coins – worth 1 coin each.
- Rubies – worth 25 coins each.
- Emerald – worth 100 coins. These do not appear in every game.
Treasure Hunt Stamp Guide
There are a total of five stamps to collect in Treasure Hunt – two medium, two hard, and one extreme.
It is possible to collect all stamps in a single game.
Here’s what your uncompleted stamp book on CP Journey will look like:
Gem Skills Stamp
Gem Skills is a medium-difficulty stamp. To obtain this stamp, you and another player must dig up two gems (either rubies or an emerald and a ruby) in a game.
Collector Stamp
Collector is a medium-difficulty stamp. To obtain this stamp, you and another player must dig up eight coins in a game.
In the Rough Stamp
In the Rough is a hard difficulty stamp. To obtain this stamp, you and another player must dig up an emerald in a game.
Gem Expert Stamp
Gem Expert is a hard-difficulty stamp. To obtain this stamp, you and another player must dig up a gem (either a ruby or an emerald) within only three moves, in a game.
Gem Pro Stamp
Gem Pro is an extreme-difficulty stamp. To obtain this stamp, you and another player have to dig up two gems (either a ruby or an emerald and a ruby) within only seven moves, in a game.
Treasure Hunt Tips
Tip: This game is a matter of luck, but if you play with friends that you can formulate a strategy with, you have a better chance of uncovering more treasure and unlocking all of the stamps.
The RPF Discord server has a Stamp Help channel if you need to buddy up with someone!
Tip: Try uncovering every other line of the board, so that you uncover as many rubies and emeralds as you can.
Tip: Whenever there are two shines right next to each other, there is a high chance that a gem is beneath one of these two sparkles. Dig where these two sparkles are, to see if there is a gem. If a coin appears under one of these two shines, the other will not be a gem either (so you can leave it alone).
Tip: If there are three sparkles next to each other in the same row/column, you should dig for the middle one. You will probably end up uncovering a gem, but if you uncover a coin in the middle, the other two by it will probably not be gems.
That brings this guide to a close, and should have you ready to collect all of the Treasure Hunt stamps! For more stamp help, join the RPF Discord server. Happy hunting!
