Helloo Rebels! Today we are BACK with our Seventeenth Edition of the Day In the Life Column! For today’s edition, we will be interviewing two longtime members of RPF that are currently at the rank of Colonel! Let’s take a look and see what happens in their day-to-day lives outside of RPF!
Esh
HELLO what is up!!! average day in the life of esh? let’s GO !!
well, apart from spending my time with my many adoring fans 😍, i live a pretty normal life.
i’m just about to go into my second year of english language and creative writing at university, so i do quite a bit of studying whilst also working a part time job at a supermarket (get me out of here 😩).
i also live in a city in england that is quite well-located, so i’m only ever a 30 minute drive from the beach, the mountains or the big city – so when i’m not working, studying or gymming, i usually take my friends out for a drive somewhere: sometimes to catch a sunset, sometimes to find a cute cafe, or sometimes just to explore!
i really enjoy writing, reading and listening to music and in my spare time (when i’m not binging netflix or procrastinating on tiktok), i’m scrolling pinterest, making playlists, putting together outfits or reading/writing a book.
and of course, i couldn’t possibly forget about rpf! as much as 13 year old esh would be horrified to know that a penguin army discord server has taken up as much space in my life as it has, it is indeed the case. i’m not too active during the academic year, but i rejoined the server this summer. it has been lovely getting in touch with all my friends again and making new ones, so i also tend to spend a lot of time in vc with them or attending events when i can (shoutout to my irl best friend @zai who attended olympics with me this year, real one fr 🙏🏼).
Tom
A typical day for me can vary, depending on if I’m working or not. But no matter the day, the first thing I do when I wake up is have a bowl of cereal. If I’m not working, my day will typically be spent either watching YouTube, playing video games (Binding of Isaac and Risk of Rain 2 currently), listening to music, reading (typically comics or manga) or solving logic puzzles. Also on these days off, I try and do at least one productive thing such as exercise or searching for an engineering job. If I’m working, my days can be wildly different due to my work times. I can be starting as early as 4 am or as late as 2 pm. A drastic difference I know but I’m kind of used to it at this point, it doesn’t affect me. I also solve the New York Times Crossword everyday with my dad. We will also then typically do the other puzzles on the NYT app such as Spelling Bee and Connections. To end my day, I will usually have supper which consists of another bowl of cereal and watch some YouTube before heading to bed.
Thank you for taking the time to read today’s edition of Day In the Life! And thank you to Esh and Tomtom for allowing us to interview them and sharing some info about their day-to-day lives! Hope you enjoyed today’s read!
