To begin this month’s Field-Ops mission, head over to the EPF Command Room and open the computer. Click Continue to start.
Make your way to the Pet Shop and move to the pink puffle bed in the corner, shown below. Once you’ve found the right spot, your EPF phone will buzz.
Click on your phone to launch the Tune the Radio Scanner mini-game!
When you begin the game, a number will appear in the bottom left corner (marked in red). Find the corresponding angle on the side of the scanner (for this example, marked in green). The part of the scanner marked in orange will spin. When it is in range of the given angle, click anywhere within the scanner to stop it.
Your progress will be tracked by two bars at the bottom. The first bar (shown below with a green checkmark) records your successes. You must successfully stop the scanner in range 10 times to complete this mission. The second bar (shown below with a red X) records your mistakes. This mission allows you to make two mistakes. If you reach three mistakes, the game will end and you’ll have to start over.
Once you’ve completed the mission, you’ll be awarded with 25 Medals, which you can save up or spend on Elite Gear!
Tips & Tricks
Since this mini-game is more difficult than past missions, here are some pointers to help you out!
— Know your angles. Knowing where each angle falls in essential to beating this game. Thankfully, each angle the game gives is in increments of 30, and each mark along the outside of the scanner is 30 degrees!
— Move your cursor. Even though you can click anywhere in the scanner, moving your cursor to the correct angle can be a big help! By placing the tip of the cursor as close to the edge of the scanner as possible, you can create a useful guide. Once the spinner lines up with your cursor, it’s time to click!
— Get in the rhythm! Pay attention to how fast the spinner is moving. If you can get a feeling of the speed, it’s easier to anticipate when it’s time to click.
— Be patient. This mini-game is tricky! Try to be patient, especially in the more difficult levels. As the spinner moves faster and starts to change directions, make sure you’re confident in your clicks! Also, this game may take several tries to beat. Just keep trying and don’t get too frustrated!
