Penguin Picnic Palooza – February 2025

With spring just around the corner, the Party Planning Committee is crawling out from its post Christmas slumber, and is ready to bring you its next party! What better way to celebrate spring than with a picnic? That’s why PPC is proud to announce Penguin Picnic Palooza! That’s right, running from 24 February to 2 March, Penguin Picnic Palooza will be taking over RPF, filling the server with fun opportunities to get involved in classic picnic activities! Read on to find out more!

Build a Picnic

What’s a PPC party without an exclusive party role? During Penguin Picnic Palooza, you’ll be able to work towards the Picnic Pal role, which can be earnt by completing at least two tasks each from the Sandwich, Drink, and Dessert list – and what’s a picnic without a basket, so you’ll need to complete the basket task to be elligible for the role.

Basket

✭ Attend 2 Penguin events

Sandwich

✭ Enter the Contest

✭ Complete the Scavenger Hunt

✭ Bring a food item to the picnic

Dessert

✭ Have a picnic themed profile in RPF

✭ Submit the Tuxedo Times Puzzle

✭ Attend the Breakday event

Drink

✭ Vote in a poll

✭ Design a Teddy Bear

✭ Share a snack with a friend

Whilst you must come to at least 2 penguin events to be elligible for the role, it’s up to you to decide which other tasks you complete – there must be two complete from each category though. Once you’ve completed a task, get in touch with a member of the Party Planning Committee to make sure the task is crossed off. If you have any questions surrounding this, don’t be shy to reach out to a member of the team for help.

Alongside the Picnic Pal role, you will earn 5 tickets towards the Operation: Centurion prizebooth for every 3 tasks you complete. If at the end of the party, your completed tasks don’t end on a multiple of 3 don’t worry as it will carry over to the next PPC party.

You can find this list at any point by using the command .picnic

Bring food to the picnic

You can’t have a picnic without food, and that’s why we’re asking every Rebel to contribute to our picnic! Don’t worry, you don’t need to actually bring real food, just fill out this form to say what you would bring to the picnic if you could. At the end of the party, a full list of the picnic will be produced so everyone can see what’s been brought along!

You can find this form at any point by using the command .forms

Scavenger Hunt

Throughout both the Discord server, and the RPF site, 8 different picnic foods or drinks will been hidden. Four are already hidden, the other four will be hidden later on during the party. To complete this task, you just need to find them and tell a member of PPC where they were. If you get stuck then you can reach out to the team for a hint. The items you’re looking for can be found below.

Note: if you find one added as an emoji in RPF, it is not the hidden food you are looking for, and will actually be hidden somewhere else. If in doubt, reach out to someone from PPC

Share a snack with a friend

We’ve all made friends in RPF whilst we’ve been here, and what better way to celebrate these friendships than by sharing a picnic snack with them. Use this form to tell us who you want to share a snack with, and what you want to share. There’s a list of options to choose from, and if you want then you can send them anonymously too. Once you’ve submitted the form, then PPC will handle the rest! You can share food with as many people as you’d like.

Please be aware that any messages sent should follow the RPF rules, and if they don’t then they may not be sent.

You can find this form at any point by using the command .forms

Design a Teddy Bear

Not only is there a picnic, but there’s a teddy bear picnic! Use the template below to design a bear to bring along with you. Once your bear has been designed, DM it to a member of PPC. At the end of the party, a collage will be made of everyone’s teddies at the picnic! You can also find this template by doing the .teddy command in #bots.

That’s it for now! Both the Contest Team, and the Tuxedo Times Team will release their party editions over the next week, so keep an eye out for them! If you have any questions surrounding this party, don’t be shy to get in touch with a member of the Party Planning Committee. To find out who is a member, then just run the command .inrole Party Planning Committee in the #bots channel. We hope you have as much fun getting involved with this party as we had planning it!

A big thank you to Gabgeirl, Lance, and Lehky for helping with the party graphics!
