Meet Officer Cadet Bakedbean’s Fish!
Name(s): Rebel and Unknown
Age: Unknown but has had them for three months
Breed: Angelfish
Favorite food: Brine Shrimp

Art: What are their names?
Bakedbeans: The grey one is called Rebel and not named the silver one yet
Art: How were they adopted?
Bakedbeans: Petco!
Art: What’s your favorite story/memory story about them?
Bakedbeans: We don’t have too many memories together, but they are kept on the desk and just watch them while in work calls
Meet Sergeant PutJokeHere and Corporal Haleth’s Dog!
Name: Annie
Age: she’s 12 years old, but still thinks she’s a puppy
Breed: She’s a cocker spaniel /springer spaniel mix
Favorite food: Bacon

Tulip & Art: What is a fun trait about Annie?
PutJokeHere: A fun trait about Annie is her bark. When a family member comes home, she gets so excited to see them that she howls in such a way that it sounds like a warble.
Haleth: Annie is so playful. She’s turning thirteen soon but she still acts like a puppy, even if she needs to sleep more than she used to. She loves to explore and has always been a hunter. Her first day home from the shelter, she explored the yard and pulled a worm out of the ground to eat because she was so used to fending for herself. Since she’s been with us, she’s never hunted like that because she learned food security! Butm she still loves to explore outside, chase animals, or just stand outside and sniff. She is so bright and tenaclous!
Art: What is her favorite toy?
Haleth: Her favorite toy changes frequently, but she loves her Taco. It’s one of those quilted tough toys and somehow she’s kept it alive for over a year! She also loves getting a peanut butter Kong, but that probably has more to do with the peanut butter than the Kong itself lol. One other toy she loves is an ice cream she plays with upside down!
Tulip: How did you get Annie?
PutJokeHere: We got Annie around 12 years ago, when she was 7 months old. She was originally placed in the pound, but a wealthy person donated money to have around a thousand dogs moved to no-kill shelters around our state, and Annie was part of that. My mother couldn’t sleep one night so she decided to browse the online listings for dogs, and that’s when we found Annie.
Art & Tulip: What’s your favorite memory with her?
Haleth: It’s so hard to pick a favorite! She’s a cuddlebug and my adventure buddy, so my favorite moments include going on nice walks and enjoying nature, inviting her (illegally) up onto the couch to hang with me, and when she curls up in my leg triangle while I read, watch a show, or study. She trades sleeping with me and Joke depending on the day. Joke goes to work earlier than me so he takes weekends and I do weekdays. Annie’s a great roommate!
PutJokeHere: My favorite memory of Annie is actually from the day we brought her home. The first thing she did when she got home was dig up worms from the ground to eat, since she was used to doing anything to survive. The reason it’s my favorite memory is because I look at her now, and I see how she’s relaxed and grown comfortable, she’s become happy. She’s no longer the scared puppy trying to survive, she’s able to thrive now. Plus I spoil her every day I get the opportunity to, cuz she’s my favorite
Meet Colonel Pemjah’s Cat!
Name: Ash
Age: A year and a half
Breed: Domestic Short Hair Cat but mixed with gremlin or monkey idk this little guy is crazy
Favorite Food: Not a picky eater thankfully, he’ll eat any kibble we get! I do want to branch out and try variety of foods though because he deserves the world
Lastly, Ella, interviewed Pemjah to talk about his adorable cat Ash! Lets see what he had to say:
Ella: Where did Ash’s name come from?
Pemjah: At first we thought Ash was a girl so he originally name Leia (from star wars) but then we found out he was a boy & my gf suggested Ash due to his beautiful grey coat
Ella: Since lots of cats have different personalities, what’s your favorite trait about them?
Pemjah: Persuasive, Ash being my first ever cat (I’ve grown up with dogs all my life) seeing how different cats are compared to dogs is insane. They’re highly independent and intelligent. If I accidentally lock him out of my room without noticing he will make it known to anyone home. He’ll come to you and meow and walk you to my room checking every couple steps to make sure you’re still following. Whatever Ash wants, he gets.
Ella: If ash could have a magical ability, what would it be?
Pemjah: The ability to speak, he understands English & Spanish and is very vocal when you talk to him as if he was a human. I feel like him and I would literally be able to be the best of friends just talking to each other and sending each other TikTok’s/reels.
Ella: Do you have a favorite story with Ash?
Pemjah: There are many memories with my sweet boy, but nothing will ever top the day he stumbled into my old job! I worked in a warehouse and went on break inside the lunchroom and I didn’t know they brought him inside but he snuck next to my shoes and started rubbing himself on me to play! I decided to surprise my gf with him as a xmas gift since we were eyeing to adopt a cat at some time and luckily I found him a week before Christmas in 2023!
