On December 12, 2020, both the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Help Force logged on to Alaska – Town for the semifinals of the Christmas Chaos X tournament. Coming off of a Round 2 win against the Silver Empire, the Rebel Penguin Federation geared up for a tough semifinals matchup against the Help Force in a storied battle of the Flash Era. The Help Force entered the battle having beaten the Water Vikings in Round 2. Judged by Christmas Chaos X judges Orange, Sophie, and Mehakk, this battle shaped up to be a competitive one.
ROOM 1 – INSIDE MINE
Both armies entered Inside Mine strongly. The Rebel Penguin Federation entered with a CCXDUBS x6 bomb, while the Help Force entered with a “DOMINATE” x4 bomb. The Helpers formed up into upside-down T, while the Rebels took an S form. The Rebels started the battle strong, firing off tactics like “WAAAAAAAAAAAA STOP DOING AYAN TACS WAAAAAAAAAAAAA” and “WE’RE HERE TO SLEIGH CHRISTMAS CHAOS.” The Helpers fired back tactics like “UNRIVALED CHAMPIONS” x2, “SAD TO SEE YA FIGHTING FOR SECOND PLACE,” and “HELP FORCE IS YOUR NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.” The Rebels bombed out of their S form with an “RPFOWNS” x6 bomb. The Helpers took the opportunity to bomb out of their upside-down T form with a “WE ARE HF, NOTHING WILL STAND IN OUR WAY” bomb. While the Help Force was bombing, the Rebel Penguin Federation switched to an EP waterfall, then an E9 rake. The Helpers took back their upside down T, while the Rebels took an X form. The Rebels kept their tactics coming, including “FEDERATION DOMINATION x2,” “WE WOULD’VE WON ACES OF AUSIA // BUT WE HAVE BIGGER THINGS TO FOCUS ON,” and “IMAGINE NEEDING MANDATORY EVENTS.” The Helpers had good tactics of their own, including “WE WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN TODAY” and “WHAYUSAY” x5. As the room finished up, the Rebels made reference to RPF fan favorite Rai (a.k.a., Kingofnorwey) in the following tactics: “KING OF NORWEY LIKED US BETTER” and “Tenkjo HF cute for making RPF win.” The judges declared the Rebel Penguin Federation the winners of Room 1 due to a slight size advantage, cleaner forms, and quicker tactics.
ROOM 2 – DOCKS
Both the Rebel Penguin Federation and Help Force entered the Dock with J bombs. Right off the bat, it was apparent that way more Rebels than Helpers got into the main room. The Rebels formed up into a plus form with leftover penguins on the coastline, while the Helpers took a coastline form. Both armies kept up their momentum from Room 1. The Rebels fired off tactics like “HEY HF, HELP US TO PUT YOU OUT OF YOUR MISERY” and “WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?” The Helpers responded with tactics like “MISEREBELS” x4 and “MAKE WAY FOR SANTAS BLUE HELPERS.” The Help Force performed a J waterfall and made a line across the room. After a couple more tactics were exchanged, the Rebels chose to bomb out of their form with a “REBEL VICTORY” x3 bomb. The Helpers took the opportunity to bomb out of their form with a “NUFFSAID” x5 bomb. The Rebels took an upside down V formation, while the Helpers took a diagonal (/) form in an attempt to cover the Rebels’ V form. The Rebels kept the tactics coming, with tactics including “HERE TO CLAIM WHATS OURS // ANOTHER TOURNEY WIN,” “WE JUST KEEP WINNING, WE REALLY CAN’T HELP IT,” “FOR REAL THOUGH, WHERE’S YOUR SIZE,” and “MAKE SOME NEW TACTICS, WE ARE BORED.” The Helpers fired back with tactics that included “FEDERATION? MORE LIKE ABOMINATION” and “YOUR SO CALLED FIGHT ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH.”As the room ended, the Rebels bombed out of their upside-down V form with a “:CRABRAVE: HELP FORCE IS LOSING :CRABRAVE:” bomb. The Rebels switched to an EP bomb, and then an O bomb as the room ended. The judges declared the Rebel Penguin Federation the winners of Room 2 due to a 50 penguin advantage, covering forms, and speedier tactics.
ROOM 3 – ICEBERG
The Rebel Penguin Federation entered the Iceberg with another J bomb, while the Help Force entered the Iceberg with a “HFPOWER” x6 bomb. The Rebel Penguin Federation took a V with a line across, while the Help Force took a plus. As the Rebels got comfortable in their V form, the Helpers immediately bombed out of their plus form with a “MOVE ON” x6 bomb. The Help Force boxed the Iceberg, while the Rebels held strong in their form. The Rebels kept their momentum from Room 2, dishing out clever tactics like “IN TODAYS SEGMENT, HELP FORCE LOSES,” “THE FEDERATION OWNS YOU,” and “FOCUS ON ACES OF AUSIA, WE’LL FOCUS ON CCX.” The Iceberg had two clever call-and-response tactics as well. In response to “IT’S YOU WHO NEEDS STAMPS TODAY REBELS!,” the Rebels fired back “WHAT YOU NEED IS SIZE THOUGH.” The Rebels bombed out of their V form with a “THIS IS PRETTY BORING NOT GONNA LIE” bomb. The Helpers took the opportunity to bomb out of their form with a “JINGLE BELLS, RPF SMELLS, HELP IS ON ITS WAY” bomb. The Rebels took a plus form, while the Helpers took the V form. The Rebels continued with witty tactics, such as “CAN’T HELP YOURSELVES” and “SEND HELP, WE’RE STUCK IN A BORING BATTLE.” As the final room wrapped up, the Rebels bombed out of their form with an “O” bomb, and the Helpers went into a “SKADOOSH” x5 bomb. As the room wrapped up, the judges declared the Rebel Penguin Federation the winners of Room 3 due to slightly cleaner tactics/form, cementing the 3-0 sweep and a bid for the Christmas Chaos X championship.
RESULTS
With a max of 128 penguins, the Rebel Penguin Federation took a 3-0 victory against the Help Force and broke their Christmas Chaos size record. Congratulations to the Rebel Penguin Federation for moving on to the Christmas Chaos X semifinals, and congratulations to the Help Force for putting up an excellent fight!
