Troop Interviews

This week marks the sixty-third official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Cosmo, Brenatto, Yvng, Mars, and Sharki) ask two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its own unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked give us a better understanding of each soldier and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of soldiers here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it will be difficult to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hopes to see you guys in a post one day!

The four interviewees this week are Crazzy, Honda, Yo Gal, and Toad!

Crazzy

What’s up rebels! It’s Mars and I will be your host for this weeks edition of Troop Interviews! First up, Brenatto interviewed Crazzy after she recently retired from her position as Rebel Commander. We will be focusing on her different accomplishments and highlights throughout her RPF career that led her to earn the Legend Hall of Fame title. Take it away Bren!

Sounds very cash money indeed!

How did you first come across RPF?

Bren’s first question for Crazzy was asking how she came across RPF! Crazzy states that she was waddling around on CPR during the Island Adventure Party when she ran into former 3ic Rocket, who help guided her to the Discord server. I agree Bren, this is definitely a big W!

How has RPF changed since you first joined?

Next, Bren asks Crazzy how she thinks RPF has changed since she first joined the server! She says that the community has improved a lot and that Staff has become more friendly with troops. She also mentions that our size has increased tremendously, as we stand at almost 12K members woooo!

What was your favorite rank and why?

Then, Bren goes on to ask which rank has been Crazzy’s favorite. She states that Specialist was special to her because it was when troops became eligible to compete in big battles and tournaments, otherwise known as Strike Force. She also mentions that she enjoyed being HCOM and more specifically 2ic because she was able to start leading bigger events like battles and wars. But her all time favorite has been Rebel Commander!! Totally agreed that she has made a huge difference in RPF:)

If a genie granted you three wishes, what would you wish for?

Bren asks what Crazzy would wish for if she was granted three wishes. She says that she would want money – we love a good cha-ching moment! – along with a personal pilot and plane so she can go anywhere she wants whenever. And lastly she wants her cats to live as long as humans. Eternal pets sound pretty dope to me!

What is your biggest accomplishment out of everything?

Bren poses one last question for this interview! They ask what Crazzy’s biggest accomplishments are out of her RPF career. She says that during her time as Rebel Commander, she has won every single war and tournament, as well as breaking uniform event size with an astonishing 162 penguins! As well as being able to maintain that #1 spot on the Top Ten list for several months straight. Such an incredible list of accomplishments and of course, gotta flex those tourney wins!!

Honda and Yo Gal

Up next we have a combined interview with two of our newest moderators, Honda and Yo Gal! Sharki was able to capture the inside scoop about their recent promo… with a few jokes along the way:) Let’s check it out!

Very mysterious answer Honda… but lets get into it!

How do you feel to have reached officer and why do you think you deserve it?

Sharki’s first question was asking how they felt to have reached that green staff rank and why they think they deserve it! Yo gal states that being an officer is very bad (totally srs) and that she earned it because she is swag (can confirm). Honda mentions that it feels natural to become apart of the staff team. I can confirm that it has been very swag to have you guys on the staff team!

What are you looking forward to now that you are staff?

Sharki goes on to ask what they are each looking forward to now that they are staff! Yo Gal states that she is gonna retire (srs) and that she’s looking forward to moderating the voice channels. Honda mentions that he looks forward to muting Sharki and being able to hang out with the rest of staff. I love muting Sharki as well >:)

Do you hope to reach HCOM in the future?

Next, Sharki asks if they hope to reach HCOM one day! Yo Gal mentions that she thought she was gonna retire 8 months ago, so anything is possible. Maybe in another 8 months we will see Yo Gal in that Yellow color! Honda states that once some time clears up, he would love to put in the work to make his way there. Can’t wait to see where these two end up in the future!

What do you think the most important aspect of being an Officer is?

Now time for a more serious question. Sharki asks what they think the most serious part of being an Officer is! Yo Gal says that chat moderation along with event duties are the important to her. And Honda says keeping RPF a safe environment is the most important to him! I agree, we stan a safe environment!

What is your favorite RPF memory?

Onto a less serious question! Sharki asks what each of their favorite RPF memories are. Honda says crushing Yo Gal’s VC hours is memorable to him! Which is quite the accomplishment considering you always see Yo Gal in VC ranking up those hours. Yo Gal mentions that one of her favorite memories was being featured on The Good Fight podcast in 2019! Definitely a boomer moment LOL

Who recruited you into RPF?

For the final question of this interview Sharki asks who recruited each of them into RPF! Yo Gal said Aisha recruited her, while Honda said Trackling, although he re-recruited himself later on. Poor Sharki still has no idea who recruited her but claims to be a Sarah recruit! So happy these two stuck around and I can’t wait to see what happens down the road!

On one last final note, Sharki says thank you for the amazing interview and mentions that black coffee is amazing (I disagree!) Enough of the E-Girl slander, movin’ on the our last interview!

Toad

Last but not least, we have an interview with our 180th Troop of the Week Toad! Standing at the troop rank of Scout Medic there is plenty to learn about Toad, so let’s hop right into it! (get it because toad.. hops?? ahaha..) Ok take it away Yvng!

How does it feel to have become TOTW?

Yvng first asks what it feels like to have become Troop of the Week! With that Toad explains that it is an amazing feeling and he has enjoyed every second of it:) I still remember my week as TOTW, definitely an incredible feeling!

Why do you think you earned TOTW?

Yvng then asks Toad why he think he has earned that hot pink color. He exclaims that he thinks he earned the title through being nice to everyone, attending events, and staying active in chat! Toad has been such a friendly face in the server. Very well deserved, insert o7 salute.

What advice would you give to other troops who aspire to become TOTW?

Next, Yvng asks Toad for some advice for any aspiring troops out there who want to earn the beloved pink role. His advice is to be accepting of everyone and attend lots of events. That is a solid token of advice and don’t worry Yvng, I got my pen and paper right next to me!

Who is your favorite artist to listen to and why?

Quick fun question, Yvng asks Toad what his favorite music artist is and why! Toad states that his favorite is Tyler the Creator because he enjoys the music (ofc) and loves his funny personality. This works out perfect because I’ve been in need for more music recommendations, time to go check him out!

What future goals and ranks do you want to achieve?

For Yvng’s last question to Toad, he asks what goals/ranks does he want to achieve in the future! Toad states that he would love to become a cadet and then a mod after that! Can’t wait to see Toad in that green color someday. Let’s get #Toad4officer trending!!
