It’s time for the 99th edition of Troop Interviews. This one is quite special. The Rebels media team speaks to our Rebel Commanders about their new Hall of Fame status.

The Troop Interviews team is thrilled to present you with this month’s interviews. Keep reading to learn more about our lovely Leaders.

Gabi

First, Patro interviewed Rebel Commander Gabi.

What an exciting and incredible achievement, how did you feel?

To kick off the interview, Patro asked Gabi how they felt, knowing they had achieved and earned the amazing title of RPF Hero.

What has been some of your highlights of your leadership tenure so far?

For her answer, Gabi discussed our recent war against the Secret Service and how it was one of her biggest achievements as a leader.

How did you motivate yourself in the difficult moments, allowing you to persevere, keep going, and reach this point?

Gabi mentioned how important it is to take a break if we have to, and she also mentioned that being a co-leader with someone she’s close to helped her as well.

What advice do you have for Rebels hoping to follow in your footsteps?

She mentioned that she didn’t plan on making it to the Hall Of Fame, She just wanted to hang out with other rebels while being at Colonel, Gabi had fun ranking up and getting involved that she carried throughout the staff ranks.

What does being an “RPF Hero” personally represent to you?

Gabi opens up about how she feels that an RPF Hero is someone whose contributions to RPF cannot be denied – a title that requires severe dedication, which she is thrilled to have apply to her.

Link

Next up, Patro went on to interview Rebel Commander Link.

What does the recognition of “RPF Icon” mean to you personally, and how does it reflect on the journey that brought you here?

To start off, Patro asked Link about what the recognition that comes with the title “RPF Icon” means to them, as well as how it helps them reflect on the journey that has brought them to this point.

What are some of the key moments or decisions that you feel shaped your path toward achieving this honour?

In return, Link gave an anecdote about their time as a troop – a time at which they were surprisingly convinced not to apply for cadet, and goes on to thank the HCOM and Officer team for the wins that RPF has had during their time as RC, explaining that – while RPF may not have had a considerably successful year when it came to tournaments, we have still held our ground in ways that they have not seen any other army do.

Who are the mentors and fellow Rebels that have played a significant role in your success, and how did they influence your journey?

To respond, Link mentions many different such people that have played a role in their success – including the person who recruited them, their cadet and officer mentors, those who have given them guidance and advice, and fellow leaders as well as friends within the army – ultimately listing many of the people who have brought Link to their title of Rebel Commander, as well as “RPF Icon.”

If you could go back and give your troop-self one piece of advice, knowing this accolade awaited you, what would it be?

Link mentions the importance of taking a break when such is necessary, in order to allow oneself to not feel burdened by the army, even though it might seem like a hard decision to make.

How do you hope to inspire future troops, officers, HCOM, and RCs with your achievements?

As advice, Link suggests not losing sight of what made us join RPF in the first place – and not feeling obligated to do anything that you don’t necessarily want to. It is just as important to be able to take a step back once you feel that RPF is becoming a ‘chore,’ and we should just be able to enjoy the moment.

Litty

Finally, Patro went on to interview Second in Command Litty.

What were the emotions you experienced when you first learned about your RPF Rebel induction? Can you describe that moment?

To begin the interview, Patro asked Litty about how she felt once she found out she had gotten RPF Rebel, and she describes how surprised she was at the news, as it was an unexpected yet welcome form of recognition and appreciation for her.

What have been some of your most treasured moments in RPF so far?

Litty recalls multiple treasured moments, including her first event, the RPF Grinchmas Christmas Party, and even leading tactics for the first time!

Throughout that time from troop to HCOM, do you have any personal philosophies or guiding principles that you believe have been key to your success and earning of this Hall of Fame award?

As someone that has gained insight from RPF when it comes to communication, Litty talks about how it is one of the most important qualities in leadership, which she tries her best to carry out.

What advice would you give to someone aspiring to reach similar heights in their Rebel career?

To respond, Litty gives 3 main pieces of advice for anyone who might be aiming to achieve more in RPF – being proactive, finding your purpose, and having fun with it.

What’s next, and what would you like to achieve?

Funnily enough, Litty reminisces on her interview from when she had gotten TOTW, where her goal was to simply rank up to colonel and rack up as many roles as possible. Now, she hopes to continue doing what she can as a member of HCOM, as well as the head of the Tuxedo Times team.
