Troop Interviews
This week marks the forty-fifth official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Rane and Royal) ask two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its own unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked give us a better understanding of each soldier, and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of soldiers here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it will be difficult to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hope to see you guys in a post one day!
The three interviewees for this week are Mars, YaBoiMac11 & Sharki04!
Mars
Welcome back to Troop Interviews! Without a doubt, it has been a long time considering it’s been approximately… oh, I don’t know… six hundred and twenty days since our last edition…? But, who’s counting? Definitely not me. ANYWAYS, here to kick it off is Royal, who has interviewed our previous Troop of the Week, Mars!

Royal says her first question for Mars was what superpower would she choose if she could have one? However, technically her first question was if Mars would do the interview. Hahahaha, gottem. Nonetheless, the superpower Mars chose was the power to time travel! This reminds me, have any of you seen season two of Umbrella Academy?
Royal’s next question for Mars was how long she has been in RPF. She replied saying almost three months, having joined on May 10th of this year! Three months in and she’s already Troop of the Week? Maybe in three more months we’ll be interviewing Mars for Rebel Commander! Let’s get #Mars4RC trending.
Speaking of Rebel Commander, Royal wanted to see if Mars actually has that on her list of goals. “What does she hope to achieve in RPF?” Mars’ answer was to become a moderator, collect more roles, and become better at recruiting! In addition, she mentioned how she wants to become staff because she looks up to them, and thinks it would be cool to get up there too! I think I speak for all staff when I say: AWW!
Do planets have feelings? Apparently, they do! Moving on to the next topic, Royal asked Mars how she felt earning Troop of the Week. Mars responded by saying she was surprised and overwhelmed with love! Looking back, she remembered thinking it couldn’t possibly be her. However, it definitely was when all of the congratulatory pings started flooding in!
Here’s the million dollar question for everyone wanting to be Troop of the Week one day! Royal’s next question to Mars was what advice would she give to others trying to reach the heavenly magenta role? Above all, Mars thinks being active in chat, making everyone feel welcome, and helping anyone who has questions should do the trick!

It’s ya boi, YaBoiMac11! This last Monday, Mac sold his soul to Rebel Bo- UHH… I mean, became moderator in RPF! To celebrate this milestone, I decided to interview him before he got too caught up in his new staff duties.
Here we go!
When I asked how his first week as staff went, Mac replied saying it was actually sort of overwhelming! Absolutely there are some big changes when you graduate mod school and join the big league. However, thankfully overtime Mac was able to get a hold of his surroundings better, especially with the help of other staff. Teamwork makes the dream work!
To find out some of Mac’s background, I asked him how long he has been in RPF and how he originally joined. Turns out, Mac was recruited by Moon almost four months ago visiting the Lighthouse on CPR, and ended up being with us since! Moon definitely has pulled some of the best recruits! #RecruitMomMoon

Enough about RPF related stuff, I’m sure he has to deal with enough of it already with his new staff tasks. Alternatively, let’s talk about the guy himself! Some fun facts about Mac are that he really enjoys creating music, his favorite color is blue, and he loves movies!
If you’re an #art channel regular, surely you have heard the sick beats Mac drops in there! Make sure to check them out! His motivation to create music is hearing what other people, such as his friends or his favorite artist, create. Along with that, Mac’s source of inspiration was watching “Genius Deconstructed” on YouTube.

Finally, my last question for Mac was about what he hopes to achieve in RPF. Yeah, remember when I said we were drifting away from the RPF topic? I sort of lied. Focusing back, Mac’s main goal is to try and reach Head General and be able to chill as a mod until he decides to retire. Mac thinks becoming HCOM comes with more pressure, which it certainly does, so he will probably stick with being a greenie. Greenies are the best anyway!

As of Friday, Mars has now passed on the infamous Troop of the Week torch to Sharki! While Royal had the honor of interviewing Mars, I was given the grand opportunity to interview Sharki. So, let’s get to it!
I meant after this one.
Here we go, the beginning of the interrogation. I mean, interview. There are a lot of questions asked though. Hope it doesn’t feel that way. Anyway, I asked Sharki how she felt becoming our newest Troop of the Week and why she felt she earned it. She responded almost the same as Mars, talking about the massive amount of sudden pings after the announcement. In addition, Sharki believes she earned the role from being active and inclusive. I believe she is right!
I totally didn’t blush when Sharki said “ily”. This is a professional interview. If my wives Ash, Dani, or Icy see this, I promise it’s not what it looks like! Moving on, the next thing I asked Sharki was what her favorite thing about being TOTW is. It seems the bright magenta and high placement on the ranks does the trick! Don’t forget about us below you with your newfound fame…
Next on the agenda, I asked Sharki what goals she wants to reach one day in RPF. She told me that she hopes to recruit more people and someday reach staff with her newfound time at home due to COVID-19 and online school! I hope the plan works out and wish you the best!
On the topic of reaching staff ranks, Sharki said she would like to be Head General, or even Third in Command someday! But wait, if she becomes yellow… what about our current Third in Command, Shark? What if we have TWO yellow sharks in RPF? If Klein rejoined, we’d have a TRIPLE threat of sharks! Well, I mean I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
In a shift of themes, I asked Sharki about which place in the world she would choose to travel to if she could stay there for a week trip. To my surprise, Sharki chose the Swiss Alps for its cold, snowy weather and to go skiing! Being a shark, I would think she would’ve chosen like, the beach or something. Either way, she chose a good destination and it sounds like fun! Hey, Sharki, if you’re reading this right now, make sure to send me an invite when you go!
Our new magenta person of the week’s final words were how she’s really happy RPF is a fun and safe community that welcomed her in. Sharki hopes to relay that same kindness to future members. So to all of RPF and Viewers Like You, Thank You! Just kidding, she only thanked me hahahahaha haha.
