Have you ever seen someone with a purple name in chat and wondered who they are? Every RPF Veteran has a story, and this is the fifteenth edition of the Vet Spotlight column, where we take you back in time to tell the story of our esteemed veterans! Today, we’re telling you the story of our veteran, Mochii.
Mochii first joined the RPF back in August of 2019, having been recruited from Club Penguin Rewritten by Quack and Lance, the latter of whom would later go on to mentor her during her time on the staff team. Mochii recalls the server seeming large early on in her RPF journey, but very friendly once she started spending more time in it. In addition to Quack and Lance, Mochii also noted being friends with Lime as they joined within days of each other, as well as being friends with people such as Crazzy, Yammie and Lotte.

Shortly after she joined RPF, war was declared on EGCP. Due to the existence of the Operation Strike Force, troops could only fight in battles once they became a Specialist. Mochii recalls being quite hyped for her first battle, recalling one specific moment “I do remember being so excited for my first battle that my therapist let me skip a group therapy session”. She also recalls enjoying World War Rewritten, however this occurred at a time she wasn’t actually enlisted in the RPF ranks, with her work being more behind the scenes.
As Mochii rapidly rose through the troop ranks, she was awarded the title of Troop of the Week #112 before applying for staff in October of 2019. She was excited for her turn in the staff ranks, especially since many of her friends were staff at the time. Throughout Mochii’s staff journey her mentors included Wolves, Emcee and briefly Star and Lance.

Throughout this time she also was a member of the contest team, publishing many contest posts on the RPF site such as Event ideas, Haiku, Work messages and RPF meme contests, as well as some CPR tutorials. Her contributions to the RF team during this era should also be noted.
Mochii achieved her final staff rank of Major General in November of the same year before retirement. The first two times Mochii retired she didn’t receive Vet status, citing the stricter Vet requirements. It wasn’t until after Mochii had been retired for a year and a half when she was in a VC with some RPF friends that she would be offered Veteran by F6sixer. Although she was less active, she was happy to be recognised for her time in RPF. In comparison to her time as Troop and Staff, Mochii finds that chatting in the server is more relaxed.

When asked to give advice for some reflections about being staff, Mochii said “My advice for future staff would be to make sure you’re still enjoying your time in RPF and not taking things more seriously than you need to.” After her retirement, you can usually find Mochii in the main chat of the RPF Discord server. Although Mochii was not active for many Olympics, since she was on leave for the Winter 2019 Olympics, she was present for many unscheduled events early on in 2020. One of her favourite memories was the Rawspaghetti event, which she details below.
