On August 6th. 2020, we invaded Yukon on CPArmies, the only server that the Recon Federation of Club Penguin (RFCP) owned. In a 3-0 sweep, we successfully invaded and claimed the server for RPF. You can read about the event details here.
We were able to max 97 troops online, and dominated each room we enetered – maxing 97 in the first two rooms, and finishing with 93 in the third room.
To give some background on the situation, the Templars planned an invasion for Yukon earlier in the week, but we expressed interest to invade Yukon instead, and so we prepared our invasion for that Thursday.
To understand why we invaded RFCP so recent after their return to the league, it’s important to know not only their history, but our history with them.
The Beginning of RFCP
On June 5th, 2019, the Recon Federation of Club Penguin was established by Prior Bumble, a Club Penguin Army veteran who was part of the People’s Republic Army in 2008 under ColinZFresh.
The army saw early sizes between 5-7, and quickly began to challenge other armies, like the Mopia, a quickly rising army after an RPF Flash Mob Event sparked interest in the Mop Item. RFCP’s war with Mopia marked the beginning of their interaction with the overall community.
RFCP Entering Club Penguin Armies
Around June 11th, RFCP joined Club Penguin Armies, and established Northern Lights as their capital on Club Penguin Armies: The Game (CPATG). They went on to fight against themselves, LGA, and ACP throughout the summer.
When plans for the Elites Guardians and Recon Federation wanting to go to war were leaked and information spread, RPF posted their war declaration on ACP’s website, titled Operation: Pewter Hopscotch. The plan was to invade three of Recon’s servers in one day, Beanie and Marshmallow on CPR, and Hockey on CPATG.
Ultipenguinj, one of the Rebel Commanders during the war, posted one of his Strike Force Briefings regarding the situation here. In summary, the invasions had been scheduled earlier, but RFCP reached out to both Ulti and Plane to call off the invasions. They agreed, but only if Recon stopped using their allies, the Shock Troops, to boost their numbers – they refused. But, then they went further to call upon Shock Troops and the Elite Guardians to raid an ACP Defense.
The invasions were back on, but before we could invade any of Recon’s servers, EGCP, RFCP, Shock Troops, and Winged Hussars transferred all of their servers to RPF, and left the league after a five way battle on Tuxedo – Iceberg devolved into inappropriate and offensive slurs being shouted by the other armies.
Club Penguin Warfare
On November 21st, 2019, RFCP declared independence from Club Penguin Armies. They then formed their own league, Club Penguin Warfare. Several armies went to join them amidst talks of CPA and CPOAL wanting to merge. Templars, Pretzels, Penguin Army Force, Romans and several others participated in different tournaments and wars on CPW. After some internal conflict, Prior Bumble briefly retired for a few days, but then came back to lead the army into the new era.
On April 9th, 2020, the CPW blog and website were attacked and forcibly shut down, with Prior Bumble announcing no plans to rebuild the league.
World War Rewritten and the Aftermath
During World War Rewritten, or World War 8, RFCP joined with ACP in their fight against RPF. When ACP agreed to a ceasefire with RPF until September 2020, Recon continued to fight the remaining armies in WWR.
After the wars and battles fizzled out, Recon began to raid LGA, PIC, and ACP as a result of past transgressions, to the point where raiding began banned in CPAM.
Present Day
And that brings us back to the current day, right up to our invasion of Yukon. In our continued efforts to expunge Recon Federation from the map, we also invaded Antarctic on CPR on August 8th, and finished our round of invasions by taking Iceland from Pizza Federation in CPArmies on August 11th, a piece of land close to our capital, Tuxedo.
For reference, you can find the specific event results of each invasion below here:
With all of that being said, the RPF has conquered three new pieces of land, and we have taken all land from the Recon Federation. There is a long rooted history to our quarrels with them, from a short lived war to the recent troop stealing speculations and petty behavior, these invasions are significant in showing how we deal with armies that act out in undesirable ways.
What do we go from here? That is yet to be determined, but we live on to FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT no matter where we go.
