Art Column – 11/23/20

Welcome to the sixteenth edition of the Art Column, where our reporters see and critique pieces in the #art channel and choose which to feature from members of the Rebel Penguin Federation.

By definition, “art” can be best described as…

“…the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”

Due to this, the Art Column’s purpose is to promote all types of art. This includes whether it’s digital or physical, something you can hear or something you can see, and even if it’s RPF related or not. However, please do also keep in mind due so many members in our group, not everyone will get recognized each week. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy our weekly gallery and keep creating!

Featured Artist

This week’s Featured Artist is Makzing!

Mak earned this week’s Featured Artist with his awesome beat that he made! He used a beat software with serum for the melody, loops, and the whole shabang. In total, it only took Mak about half an hour to finish! And he got the inspiration for it from Uzi Vert and Maaly Raw’s Money Longer single with the digital/futuristic type sounding mix. And a little fact: it only took him about 10 minutes to mix, with a nice and easy beat! Anyways, make sure to congratulate Mak when you see him in chat!

Club Penguin & RPF Art

Being the Rebel Penguin Federation, we have to include art related to us in this post of course! Here is some Club Penguin & RPF related art made by none other than our fellow troops!

“Pumkin Puffle”, made by AmongUsKiller, RPF Private.

In this cute drawing, Killer made a pumpkin puffle! It has an adorable face, and certainly brings Autumn vibes! CPR should definitely take notes on their Halloween pumpkin designs :E7:

“RPF Animal Crossing event when-”, made by – ̗̀ PinkPig1et • ୨୧, RPF Lieutenant.

Wow, something not drawn, finally! Anyways, we can see here that Pink made her lovely Animal Crossing character dress up in the old RPF uniform! It has the goggles, boots, shirt, and hat. But for real though, RPF Animal Crossing event when??

Theme of the Week

In this segment, we will be announcing a different topic per week to challenge our artists and see the best they come up with. If you’d like to participate, post your art in #art with the hashtag we include here for a chance to be featured!

This week’s Theme of the Week was Movies!

We asked our artists, “What is your favorite movie, and how was your artwork inspired by it?” Here’s what they had to say, along with what they created!

“RPF Yoda”, made by Yodabobobo, RPF Major General.

“My favorite movie is Star Wars Return of the Jedi but I like all the Star Wars movies! My artwork was inspired by the Yoda from the prequel trilogies. Basically I drew in the whole RPF uniform on top of Yoda which is something I have always wanted to do and finally had the time this week to get it done! All the colors are accurate with the colors from in-game items and I attempted to capture all the details in the uniform itself! FTGF” – Yoda

“The Gang”, made by ariana, RPF Colonel.

“..and if you’re referring to my most favorite movie of all time it’s “The Book of Life”. My artwork was inspired by the prompt of course, and since I couldn’t just draw one favorite movie… I thought to myself, “Why do one movie, when you can do MORE!!” and then I did! I drew atleast 6 favorite movies that I loved.” – ariana

“Club Penguin Theater”, made by YeskaDog, RPF Private.

“Its based on A show that i love to watch called Mystery Science Theater 3000 which is a show about a guy and 2 robot friends making commentary about and watching really old movies. i club penguinized it by having the movie be Night of the Living Sled and having the guy be a penguin instead haha!.” – Yeska

Thank you to everyone who submitted art!

Next week’s Theme of the Week will be… Nature! As our good pal Russell once said: the wilderness must be explored! We’d love to see some artwork related to the outdoors, so if you like art and nature, this theme is for you. Make sure to put #rpfacnature in the caption when you post your work if you’d like to be featured here next week! Don’t forget: art includes drawings, music, photography, paintings, and more! Be creative!

All art presented was given permission by their creators to be included in this post. Never steal or take credit for another person’s work!

Thanks for reading!
