Behind The Name: Veterans

Welcome back to another Behind the Name, where Tomatoeee and I, z3ming, asked some RPF Veterans about the origin of their usernames! Read on for an inside look to what was going on in these vets’ minds when choosing their usernames.

Twitchy543

I’m pretty sure it’s because one of my hands started twitching while I was trying to come up with a name. twitchy was taken, twitchy123 was taken, twitchy543 was not

Cosmo

Cosmo is actually a typo of Cosmic Knight. Originally I went buy it, so one day i was just saying it in chat and i made a typo and typed “Cosmoc” instead of “Cosmic”. So while backspacing I stopped after the C and just the name “Cosmo” seemed to simple and yet it still had those same space vibes so since that day (2018) i’ve been Cosmo

Yodabobobo

In 6th grade I was trying to make up a username for Scratch cause I would use that to play games during school. I was a big Star Wars fan and Yoda was my favorite character so I wanted Yoda in my username. Then I added bobobo cause I thought it sounded cool but it had no relevance or meaning to anything. Henceforth I was known as Yodabobobo.

Mycydric7

My username was made when i was like 7 and i was about to make my first aninal jam account, i didn’t know what to do so i just grabbed the first part of my email my auntie gave me (it was a fake email) and then i added a seven into it

A Random Owl

Ok so A Random Owl actually originated from a picture that I actually took at the zoo! A Random Owl also is not my original! It was something entirely different! I basically wanted to rebrand because I was actually fully inactive for a couple of weeks when I joined rpf. So I was like yk what I want a clean start. So I was like hmmm what’s something random and I seen some people had named related to animals so I was like yk what I like owls and I have a decent picture of one that I likeand that’s p random which is what a lot of disc names are so I will fit in. Honestly not a thrilling story but it’s kinda funny

cosmiss

Cosmiss is a name I made up when I was 12 when I tried to take up journaling. I would address each journal entry like a letter and write “Dear Cosmiss”.

We hope you had a good time getting the inside scoop in this first edition of Behind the Name: Troop Edition! Let us know in #main-chat which of these stories you find most interesting, and stay tuned for another “Behind the…” coming soon!
