If anyone would have tried to tell me what I would spend my 2020/2021 year doing, I’d probably say that’s not the craziest thing I’ve heard this year. Being a nuisance to my friends about Club Penguin outside of all of this was sort of on brand for me. However, if you would’ve told me I’d be sitting here writing a retirement post after reflecting on the community, memories, and everything in between that I’ve experienced, now that’s something I’d say I never saw coming.
I joined the ranks back in March 2020 and quickly became infatuated with everything that the Rebel Penguin Federation had to offer. I remember being in shock to learn that there were even people my age still playing. I could have never imagined the community or the people I’d meet from such a simple penguin group. My real-liferz were also thrilled when I told them that I wouldn’t be calling them at obscure times to log on with me anymore.
Through the whirlwind of members that I’ve been so fortunate to meet, I owe it to AUSIA hours for introducing me to some of the best people. My first in-server friends are still some of my closest ones to this day, whom the majority of them I got to know during these times. If you’re not familiar with “AUSIA hours”, I highly recommend you be around for them at least once. I think this is the right time, if not the only time, to admit that I’m not truly (geographically per say) AUSIA. Surprise! I am indeed from the lovely timezone of Eastern Standard Time.
Don’t be mistaken, I am no poser (I am), but I have an overwhelming amount of love for AUSIA and always have. I switched from the US region to AUSIA about two months into my time as an Officer and it was one of the best decisions I made in my RPF journey. Eventually getting to lead the region with my closest friend was such a great experience. I cannot begin to describe how proud I am of AUSIA. For everyone who attended AUSIAs when we were maxing in the 20s or even at our highest max, it genuinely meant the world to Milly & I. AUSIA week will go down as one of my favourite memories in my time in RPF and I owe it to all of you for being a part of it. AUSIA has always felt like a separate little family and I can only hope to see the region flourish as Milly and I step down together. Panilly forever :pleased:
Anyways, army accomplishments are cool and all but if you couldn’t tell, nothing means more to me than the memories I’ve made in my time here. Here are some of my favourites:
Not pictured but still memorable: April Fools Day 2020, every Party Planning Committee project, Amoji’s & my countless amounts of bans, every Hunger Games where I got electrocuted by the border (racist), spam singing Religious Man in main at 3am with the KK, Team Phoenix (HOOF HOOF) & Asterion (fatties xo), my deep conversations with Rebel Bot, the several Panini cults, server revamps courtesy of PPC, late night Thunderstruck VCs, Helen Keller Shark, the bafoonery in #chat-bums, every single summer AUSIA hour chat, the veggie tales cult, every time I counted on a number other than 3 during leading, and an entire abundance of memories I can’t remember right now.
There are so many other memories I’d love to include but I don’t think anyone really wants to read through all of those. Anyways, I’m a dirty little liar and army accomplishments do in fact mean something to me too. Being a part of endless tournaments, wars, leagues and just everything the army community has thrown at us makes me unbelievably proud to have been a part of RPF. I have never met a group of troops or staff members as dedicated as the ones I have met during my time here. RPF’s success would be nothing without such a strong in-server community. Some of my favourite army moments include the entirety of World War Rewritten (that man sure did have a plan!), Legends Cup X, BIA events, the early morning VC trainings where Milly & I were on the brink of death, and leading against ACP & HF.
Undoubtedly I owe my RPF experience being such a wonderful one to all the wonderful people who have been a part of it. Here are some people who deserve an extra special thank you.

Never would’ve expected to find someone like you in this cursed penguin place. You’ve truly become like a sister to me (surprise we are NOT lesbians x) and I am beyond grateful to have had you during all of this. We’ve accomplished so much together in and outside of RPF. Our memories are countless and I know they’re not stopping anytime soon. Love you long time #Panilly

It’s craz(z)y how you were my first friend and still remain as one of the people closest to me in the end. My RPF experience would not be the same without you. A lot of my core troop memories revolve around you and those memories only continued to flourish as my time in RPF did. I am so thankful to have gotten close to you when I did. Def the toughest WOMAN!!!!22!!!! in the community, keep kicking ass.

He was a crab, she did ballet! Linky Lonk, you are by far one of the kindest people I’ve gotten to meet on here. Lanie, my little chicken teriyaki. You are so genuine and true to yourself, I’ve loved getting to know you over the last year. Your uplifting and positive attitudes made my time as HCOM so enjoyable, I probably would have gone a little crazy without you guys. Thank you for all the VC serenades, streams, music sharing and just everything else.

Leading PPC alongside Milly is one of my proudest accomplishments. I adore every single one of you and the amount of things we achieved together are amazing. By far the BEST RNM team in all of RPF, I am so confident that you will all do wonderful without me (us, oops lol). Your dedication and work has been like no other. Thank you for such a great year!
My Mentees
Whether it was during my time as a Head General or as HCOM, working with all of you was incredible. I am so proud to see the majority of you are still around as officers. A lot of you (as cadets) made me realize I wanted to be HCOM in the first place. I’m so excited to see you all continue.
I especially want to thank Jaeun who I had the privilege to work with all the way from her first days as a cadet to now as a general. These past months have been insane and you’ve grown so much. I hope you’re proud of yourself because I really really am. I am so excited to see what the future holds for you. Also Paddy, RARARARARA, thanks for just being you, you suck <3
