Cart Surfer is one of the most popular games on Club Penguin Journey, and is many penguins’ go-to minigame for grinding coins that can then be used to purchase items in the various catalogs across the island.

This is your ultimate Cart Surfer gameplay and stamp guide, with exclusive tips to help you go further than the standard game and earn more coins.

According to a handy CP Journey coin grinding guide created by player Yoshi2, Cart Surfer is the third most lucrative way to earn coins – at 60,000 coins per hour.

Gameplay Explained

Cart Surfer is a minigame that can be played by clicking on the mineshaft in the top right of the Inside Mine.

A player earns points by performing various tricks using their keyboard.

The player must also manoeuvre around several turns, or else they will crash and lose one of their three lives.

After manoeuvring all the turns, the player is greeted with a white light, marking the end of the game.

Tip: You can also play this game with a Black Puffle. The puffle will appear on the player’s shoulder and help you to recover from wobbles.

A Black Puffle can be purchased from the Pet Shop.

Cart Surfer Stamp Guide

There are a total of 12 stamps that can be earned – 1 easy stamp, 5 medium stamps, 5 hard stamps, and 1 extreme stamp.

Once all 12 stamps have been earned, you will receive double coins each time you play.

Here is what your stamp book will look like before you start on your stamp-earning journey:

Here is a breakdown of each stamp, and what you need to do to earn it:

Great Balance Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must recover from a wobble during a game.

The easiest way to achieve this is by standing up on the cart and leaning to either the left or right. When your penguin is about to fall, stop leaning to recover.

Cart Pro Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must earn 150 coins in a single game. You will earn 150 coins by reaching an in-game score of 1500.

Mine Marvel Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must perform 10 tricks while remaining in the cart in a game of Cart Surfer.

Tricks inside the cart include:

• Jump (space)
• Turn (right/left)
• Cart grind (down then right/left)
• Spin (space then right/left)
• Leap (space then up)
• Cart slam (space then down)
• Flip (down then space)

Mine Mission Stamp

To obtain this stamp, a player must perform 10 tricks outside the cart in a game.

Tricks outside the cart include:

• Surf jump (up then space)
• Surf turn (up then right/left)
• Handstand (up twice)
• Run on tracks (down twice)

Trick Master Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must perform all 14 tricks in a single game.

1. Up: Player stands on mine cart
2. Up then space: Player stands and jumps with mine cart
3. Down then space: Player does a back flip in the cart mine cart
4. Down: Player leans back in the mine cart
5. Down then left: Player turns mine cart left
6. Down then right: Player turns mine cart right
7. Space then down: The player jumps in the mine cart
8. Up twice: Player does a handstand on the front of the mine cart
9. Up then left/right: Player stands on the mine cart and leans left/right, can be used on turns
10. Down twice: Player runs on the track
11. Left/right: Turns right/left in cart
12. Space left: Player jumps in the air and spins counter-clockwise
13. Space right: Player jumps in the air and spins clockwise
14. Space and up: Player jumps in the air

Puffle Power Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must recover from a wobble while playing with a Black Puffle. A wobble is when you are about to fall out of the cart.

Cart Expert Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must earn 250 coins in a single game. You will earn 250 coins by reaching an in-game score of 2500.

Mine Grind Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must grind around 8 corners in a single game.

To grind a corner press down and then right/left to turn in the respective direction.

Surf’s Up Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must surf around 8 corners in a single game.

To surf a corner press up to stand on the mine cart and then right/left to turn the corner.

Flip Mania Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must flip 20 times in a row in a single game.

To flip, press down then space. You cannot crash or perform any other tricks, including grinding corners, to earn the stamp.

Ultimate Duo Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must perform 20 tricks in a single game with a Black Puffle.

Cart Master Stamp

To obtain this stamp, you must earn 350 coins in a single game. You will earn 350 coins by reaching an in-game score of 3500.

How to Earn More Coins

Tip: Unlike a lot of minigames, you need to lose lives in Cart Surfer for the game to continue for longer, and for you to earn more coins. As a general rule, crash the cart every 3-5 turns.

Tip: Use a mixture of tricks to get more coins. This is because on the track between turns, performing the same trick twice will result in you earning half the points on the second time.

To obtain the highest amount of coins, rotating the following three tricks will allow you to do so:

1. Left or right spin (spacebar and left or right)
2. Backflip (down arrow and spacebar)
3. Cart slam (spacebar and down arrow)

Tip: Advanced players can achieve the most coins by becoming familiar with the routes that they need to take in a game of Cart Surfer.

Every time you play the game, the route is randomised. In one of those routes, you can achieve a very high score. This route is as follows:

• First turn: Right
• Second turn: Left
• Third turn: Left

If you get this route, crashing on the 6th turn respawns you to the fourth turn. Keep playing and crash on the second turn until you have no lives left. Then go crazy with tricks until you reach the white light!
