Troop Interviews
This week marks the fifty-first official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Rane, Cosmo, and Royal) ask two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked to give us a better understanding of each soldier and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of soldiers here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it will be difficult to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hope to see you guys in a post one day!
The four interviewees for this week are Strangeyef, Makzing, 3tadpoles & reeeeee!
Strangeyef & Makzing
Hello everyone, welcome back to another edition of Troop Interviews! This week, we’re mixing things up again. Firstly, today I’m your host, Royal! Secondly, we’re gonna be doing a group interview again, this time with our top 3 winners from the talent show. We also have an interview with a new veteran! Sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s interviews. First up is Strangeyef and Makzing, interviewed by moi!
What made you guys want to sign up for the Talent Show?
My first question for Strange and Mak was what made them want to sign up for the Talent Show. Strange started off by saying that he saw a lot of people hyping it it main chat, and then realized that he actually did have a talent, so he signed up! About the same with Mak, he finished making a really cool beat and thought it was good, so he entered it! And obviously it was really good because it got 3rd place!
Did you think you would win or even place in the top 3?
Mak replied by saying that he never would have thought that he would get 3rd place, but he loves RPF and is glad that everyone liked it! We love you too Mak 😀 Moving on, Strange didn’t think he would either! Come on RPF, where’s your spirit??! Anyways, he thought that all the other participants did amazing jobs, and was extremely surprised to see that he got first place! #RPFISVERYTALENTEDANDWHOLESOME
What are your hobbies outside of RPF?
We love non-rpf related questions </3. Moving on, Mak responded to the question by mentioning producing music, and eating different foods as well as watching sports as some hobbies! (Go Heat! 
) Mak especially likes Brazilian food and the classic fried chicken and mac n cheese. Similarly, Strange likes eating, and also even used to play soccer!
What’s your favorite RPF memory so far?
My next question for them was what’s their favorite RPF memory so far!
Mak immediately replied with the Legends Cup Semis! One of our biggest events so far, it was thrilling and fun to attend. Awesome choice ;] And although Strange hasn’t been a member for long, he said that it was either the gala or practice battle against Ice Warriors! My favorite RPF memory would probably be me getting mod aga- I mean what.. 
Ending the interview, Mak thanked Moon for recruiting him, as well as listing different things he loves (with RPF at the top of the list 🥺), and Strange thanking Lanie for recruiting him! Y’all are so wholesome omg.. Might as well thank Aisha for recruiting me too :’)

Next up, drum roll please… Cosmo got an interview with one of our new veterans, 3tadpoles!

How are you?
Ah Cosmo’s favorite question to start with, how are you! Tad said that she’s doing alright, and Cosmo replied that he was also good 😀 I wish people would ask me how I’m doing.. ;[
How long were you in RPF?
Tad replied that she joined around the end of August last year, but technically used to be in RPF around 2013, so closer to about 2 1/2 years! Cosmo responded that he was about to hit 3 years! (Congrats in advance :o) And while he might have hero and the most amount of rank roles, Moon takes the cake for normal roles with a whopping 55 in total! You go girl 
Why did you choose to be in RPF, and how’d you plan on sticking around?
Cosmo’s next question was why Tad chose to be in RPF, and how she planned on hanging around. Tad responded that back in 2013, she was recruited by Elmikey by an autotyper! Ah, the old days. Tad then went on to mention that she had never experienced anything like the Xat community, so she just stuck with it, and was pretty shy! Then she kept in touch with Ulti, and eventually rejoined as a joke after hearing that he rejoined, but it turns out that she stayed! She even went on to praise the community and everyone in it. I’m not crying you are </3
How do you feel being a veteran vs. being a troop?
Cosmo then asked how Tad felt being a veteran now versus being a troop. Tad tells us that she’s loving the purple color like anyone would, and that it’s very laid-back compared to when she was a troop! Cosmo agrees, knowing how it feels since he retired last year. But the pull of RPF was too strong and he rejoined. T̶a̶d̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶r̶e̶jo̶i̶n̶ ̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ ̶3̶?̶?̶?̶Anyways, don’t be shy and keep popping by in main. 
What’s been your favorite RPF memory?
The next question for Tad was what has been her favorite RPF memory! She responded by saying that a lot of things came to mind when asked that! Mentioned are 2019 Winter Olympics, Soccer Mommy Concert, getting TOTW, getting Officer Cadet, 2020 Summer Olympics, and participating in the Head General branch battle! Certainly a wild ride that Tad had. Hopefully there will be many more to make along the way :’)
What advice would you share with other troops in RPF?
Cosmo’s last question for Tad: what advice would she share with other troops in RPF? She says to go at your own pace, especially if you’re looking to rank up (even to staff positions)! Of course you should push yourself and work hard, but never forget – IRL>RPF. And of course, be kind! Like me, Cosmo fullheartedly agrees.
Before finishing off his interview, Cosmo asked Tad if she had anything to say before he finished off! She thanked Cosmo for interviewing her, saying that it was a honor. Then she added to make sure that everyone is staying hydrated, sleeping right, staying in school, and eating well! Finally, saying that it’s okay to make mistakes and have bad days, just do what’s best for you. Tad’s really spitting some words of wisdom here, pay attention y’all!

How does it feel to be Troop of the Week?
Rane’s first question to Reee was how she felt being the renowned Troop of the Week! Reee replies by saying that it was a little weird, but rewarding! She never even thought that she was going to get TOTW, so she was very shocked. Like Rane, I believe it was very well deserved though :D!
How long have you been in RPF, how did you find us, and what made you stay?
Rane’s next question was how long she had been in RPF, how she found us, and what made her stay! Wow that’s a long one. Reee tells us that she just about passed 6 months here! Happy half-anniversary <3!! She tells us that she was playing CPR after her ex broke up with her, and then Violet saw her in the plaza and asked her if she wanted to join. Spoiler alert: she did. That’s pretty obvious though, she wouldn’t have gotten TOTW if she had said no! She then says that she’s not exactly what kept her here, mostly the huge amount of members [shoutout to all the recruiters :D), along with the uniqueness of the server and the cool events! We’re glad you chose to stay!
What do you hope to achieve being Troop of the Week?
In the exact words of Reee: I want to be someone who troops can look up to so they know how to become this role, and to help others learn how they can get this role! Reee also wants to name herself Pink Drink Reeeeee since the color looks like Starbuck’s pink drink. I would say that those are very good goals, and you can definitely achieve them! 😉 Especially the Pink Drink nickname, I think we ALL want to see that spicy nickname..
What advice would you share with others trying to achieve Troop of the Week?
Reee started off by saying to never give up!! She had never gotten Troop of the Week until Friday, but she never gave up. Some tips from her are to be active in chat, try recruiting, and attend lots of events! And finally, always aim for the stars! All of these interviewees have such great advice smh.. Take notes everyone 😀
What are some fun facts about you?
Rane’s final question for Reee was what are some fun facts about her! She replied that she’s the vice president of her robotics club, she plays the viola, video edits and paints, and REALLY likes Minecraft blockmen and coffee! And, loves listening to lofi. I could never do that many things

Concluding the interview, Reee’s final words were fight the good fight, AFBF, and that she loves everyone!! Sorry Rane but, AFBF FOREVER – NAVY DOESN’T OWN 😀
