—◊ History of Tuxedo Times ◊—

Tuxedo Times was first started back in 2017 or 2018, when RPF was still in the current RF Hub Discord server. This was discontinued, and RPF later saw an Insurgent Magazine, led by Lucy, which featured art, poetry, troop interviews, and more. You can read an internet archive of Insurgent Magazine’s 4th and 6th posts, by clicking here and here!

Insurgent Magazine began to fade out, as Division Recap was introduced in 2019 to provide a weekly recap focused on the events of the past week. It was also led by Lucy, and both of these carried over to the current RPF Discord server. You can read its first post since moving to the current RPF server here! The Divison Recap team saw frequent change in leadership, seeing Wolves, Cheeseater13, Klein, and elexonck take charge for brief periods of time. Finally, Divison Recap was put under its final leadership of Rocket, on February 25, 2020.

On April 19, Rocket decided it was time for a revamp. After a vote from the rest of the team, it was determined that Division Recap would go back to its roots and rebrand as Tuxedo Times, the one we know and love today. Now the column was offering weekly news on top of a recap of the week’s events. The first edition of Tuxedo Times was posted on April 26. You can read that post here!

When Rocket retired on September 21, Sharkboi became Tuxedo Times’ second team leader. When Sharkboi retired, she passed on leadership of the team to Sarah on April 11, 2021. She was joined by z3ming on June 23, and following her retirement, princhi joined z3ming to lead the team on August 16, which is where we are today, 100 Issues later!

Ever heard of the expression ‘Honour among Rebels’? Operation: Honour to Us All, which is based on the iconic movie Mulan, does it justice. The Rebels are set onto a brave journey out to Zipline as they wander among the island. Prior to that, they seek out a hanfu or dress that suits them like a tee for the adventure that lies ahead. They walk a long voyage as they chant fearless tactics and heroic forms throughout. Such a divine showcase in this event, bow down to everyone who joined us! Us Rebels decide to express the duality of a penguin with this Cruella De Vil inspired event. For Operation: Cruella, the Rebels barged into Abominable uninvited. Being invested into high fashion, we sported ourselves in an outfit consisting of black colours, white colours, and a feather boa to tie it all together. The Rebels spread their cruel nature by chanting dark, spiritual tactics as well as destructive forms with our influence over the island. Nod of approval to everyone who joined us for our cruelish event! Make sure to read the post below to see just how evil we went in this event!
