This past weekend, we saw Lance sadly retire once again from his position as Third In Command. Having joined RPF all the way back in February of 2019, he’s given many years to this army and has accomplished a lot in that time, including serving on the staff ranks two separate times, co-leading the Party Planning Committee and Graphics Team, and earning the Hall of Fame title of Rebel. You can see Lance’s first-retirement post from 2020 here, detailing some of his favorite RPF experiences and achievements. We thank Lance for all of his time, efforts and dedication, and wish him the best irl!
On a more upbeat note, the RPF Summer Olympics of 2024 is now underway!! And we’re gonna bet on it being a fabulous one, because this time around the theme is High School Musical 2!! Everyone has been sorted into teams, and we’ve got Team Duet, Team Spotlight, and Team Ensemble that each gotta go their own way to hopefully win as many medals as they can! Everyday this week we’ll be having a day of mini-game tournaments, but don’t worry, even if you don’t dance, there will be something for everyone to participate in. HCOM has worked hard in planning this Olympics, all for one week of fun, so we hope you enjoy!! And don’t forget – we have two returning roles available to earn: Team MVP and Rebel Olympian. Be sure to read the announcement post for more details on our Olympics week as well as how to get these roles!

How much did the rebels work throughout the week?
Amongst the LCXIV giveaway claims from last week, our #bots channel was renamed to #make-that-money. And the rebels have been hard at work making that money indeed! Last week the .work command was used successfully a total of 398 times! Among those, rebels earned rebel cash 355 times, but lost rebel cash 43 times!!
