What’s up, Rebels? Welcome back to our A Day In The Life column! For the thirty-fifth edition, we’ve interviewed three members of RPF: 1 Officer Cadet, 1 Brigadier General, and 1 Major General! Let’s check out what each of their days typically looks like!
Irelia
Firstly, thank you again for considering me for this interview ❤️ Secondly, it’s a little crazy because although I technically have a very set routine, absolutely no day ever looks the same for me, especially now that I’m on holiday from university.
I’ve been waking up rather late even for my own standard, at around 10 or 11 am. Bear with me, you will see why. After doing my morning routine (which includes my favourite part of the day, which is doing my makeup), I spend most of my day working for my volunteering association, since I am the director of the Marketing department. The tasks change daily, but lately I’ve been working on preparations for the semester ahead. This includes numerical planning, coming up with concrete steps and brainstorming ways to improve marketing frameworks, as well as offering qualitative transitions for my next team leaders. Everything is mostly done through meetings (and I think everybody in RPF knows me for always being in a meeting haha) and it can get exhausting at times, especially since everything in total takes me around 8-10 hours. It’s only like this because I don’t have much university work to do, though (other than researching for my bachelor’s paper). If I have lectures, then I squeeze volunteering activities in the evenings, in between lectures or earlier in the morning.
Somehow I always manage to make time for my friends, so I spend most of my evenings out with my irl friends and, of course, with my friends in RPF! Honestly, being part of so many big communities is so fulfilling and fun, which is why it’s one of my favourite things to nurture when I don’t work.
Other than interacting with people, I try to squeeze in an individual activity as often as possible. So, late at night, I like writing short stories or free essays, and somehow inspiration also seems to only find me at the hours I have for myself. If I’m not writing, then I’m reading, and if I’m not reading, I am sketching something. Art is a very important thing for me as well, so I try to do at least one artistic activity every day. If I’m really busy then just listening to music on the subway ticks the box.
By the time I will have done all of this, it’s already 1 or 2 am, so it’s time to get ready for bed. I make some tea, put on a hydrating facemask and if I’m not completely exhausted, I journal a little bit or spend some more time with my friends in RPF. Then I go to sleep and that’s about it~
Ephraim’s GF
I normally wake up around 9 in the morning each day, while petting each of my cats (Shoutout to Simba and Tinkerbelle), my dad normally lets Tink outside on the deck each morning as I normally let her back inside when she is ready. After that I normally get ready for the day, take my meds for the day before 10 in the morning, say good morning to Belle (wherever she is) each morning normally sleeping in my mom’s office in the morning. Then I do chores around the house-laundry, washing dishes, etc. I cook lunch after chores are done, hop on CPJ/CPL (whichever Club Penguin I feel like playing) coin grind for a bit, then LOCK IN FOR EVENTS!! After the events I normally go to the gym with my sister, shower, and eat dinner, and coin grind and consistently check other servers; while encourage Tinkerbelle to hunt for her lizard friend. Wait for Fire Emblem Heroes to reset at 2 in the morning (unless daylight with the hour back- 1 in the morning) and go to sleep sometime after FEH reset.
QueenBee
I am awake bright and early at 6am every day to eat my breakfast and make my morning routine happen. I’ve recently gotten into oatmeal and yogurt (shout out rpf vets for recommending this) so those are my breakfast of choice these days. I’m out the door by 7am to drop my dog off at doggy daycare and wish Mr Bee a good day at work.
I teach elementary music so from 7:45-2:15 I teach all my classes and do the things before I get my plan period at the end to prep for the next day. I started at a new school this year so ending with my prep period is such a treat!!
Once work is over I head home and take a peloton ride most days. Ally Love is my fav instructor ❤️ After working out I normally wash the day off while Mr Bee cooks dinner. If I beat traffic I’ll hop in the rpf event when I first get home. Otherwise I like to hang out in the server to end my night while I do one of my various hyper fix- I mean hobbies xD
