Welcome to the nineteenth edition of the Art Column, where our reporters (currently Yvng, YipYorp, Sharki, and Cracked) see and critique pieces in the #art channel and choose which to feature from members of the Rebel Penguin Federation.
By definition, “art” can be best described as…
“…the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”
Due to this, the Art Column’s purpose is to promote all types of art. This includes whether it’s digital or physical, something you can hear or something you can see, and even if it’s RPF related or not. However, please do also keep in mind due so many members in our group, not everyone will get recognized each week. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy our weekly gallery and keep creating!
Featured Artist
“Black’n’White” made by Master DS, RPF Colonel
This week’s Featured Artist is Master DS!
Master DS has earned the title of this week’s Featured Artist with this hot charcoal painting that they made!
”This was honestly a project for art class, and the teacher told us to pick a picture that had detail and looked good in black and white so I decided to go with an open door type of setting.”
Club Penguin & RPF Art
Being the Rebel Penguin Federation, we have to include art related to us in this post of course! Here is some Club Penguin & RPF related art made by none other than our fellow troops!
“Club Penguins of Madagascar”, made by Blorckits, RPF Private
“This the first Club Penguin artwork that I ever created. I was inspired by a sketch on the internet. This picture was what really got me started in art because it helped me understand how to sketch penguins. It took 8 hours to make, because I had never drawn digitally before, and was only 13.”
“-RANKS-”, made by Lanie, RPF General
This art piece was made for HCOM; it’s a portrait of who our current HCOM are and represent the characters that we see in their pfps a lot. You can see the rebel commanders, second in commands, and third in commands all present in the picture! Overall this is an amazing piece that is very iconic, Awesome job Lanie!
“The RPF House”, made by Watermelon Cat, RPF Lance Corporal
“Originally designed for an RPF-themed Snicksnack map, not long after this was made HCOM canceled the map itself and this was all that I had drawn for it.”
Theme of the Week
In this segment, we will be announcing a different topic every week to challenge our artists and see what they come up with. If you would like to participate, post your art in #art with the hashtag we include here for a chance to be featured!
This week’s Theme of the Week was Disney!
“Soul”, made by Speedy, RPF Major General
“22 and Joe enjoy a moment, with the art style of pop art. Pop art is one of my favorite styles that I learned. While the movie Soul embraces the importance of living in the moment and just enjoying life, I feel that everyone should enjoy every moment of life and take time to slow down and live in the moment.”
“Pixel CP Anakin Skywalker”, made by Orange, RPF Lieutenant Colonel
“Anakin Skywalker as a penguin from Club Penguin”
A collage of Disney Characters made by Moonlemur, RPF Lieutenant Colonel
A collage of Disney Characters featuring Donald Duck, Stitch, Goofy, Elsa, and friends!
Thank you to everyone who submitted art!
Next week’s Theme of the Week will be… Nostalgia! Ahhh yes nostalgia, according to the Oxford Dictionary it means “a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations”. So go back to the past Rebels and think of a happy moment that you would like to create and share! Make sure to put #rpfacnostalgia in the caption when you post your work if you’d like to be featured here next week! Don’t forget: art includes drawings, music, photography, paintings, and more! Be creative!
All art presented was given permission by their creators to be included in this post. Never steal or take credit for another person’s work!
Thanks for reading!
