Art Column – 03/26/21

Welcome to the twenty-sixth edition of the Art Column, where our reporters (currently Yvng, YipYorp, Sharki, and Cracked) see and critique pieces in the #art channel and choose which to feature from members of the Rebel Penguin Federation.

By definition, “art” can be best described as…

“…the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”

Due to this, the Art Column’s purpose is to promote all types of art. This includes whether it’s digital or physical, something you can hear or something you can see, and even if it’s RPF related or not. However, please do also keep in mind due to so many members in our group, not everyone will get recognized each week. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy our weekly gallery and keep creating!

Featured Artist

”Serenity”, made by Jolivia, RPF Lance Corporal

Jolivia has earned the title of this week’s Featured Artist with this beautifully made nature-themed picture!

”I’ve been working on this painting for about 5 days now, but it’s still unfinished! My boredom was what inspired me to make it, and all I used is some oil and canvas paper. It’s almost finished!”

Club Penguin & RPF Art

“Generals”, made by Coric, RPF Officer Cadet

In Coric’s latest portrait of RPF staff, they have drawn all of our generals! In this portrait are woogs, Yoda, z3, Ash, lanie, and Avril (clockwise from top left). As always, Coric is great at showing the staff members’ personalities through these cute portraits!(edited)

“Lion King Takeover Party”, made by RedNosedLugia, RPF Private
Lugia made this concept art for a party they would like to see in Club Penguin Rewritten. If CPR were to bring back movie-themed parties, we would love to see these awesome designs of our favorite Lion King characters in the game!(edited)

Comic

A very talented rebel has volunteered to make an original comic featuring RPF staff in funny situations inspired by daily conversations in main chat! Enjoy this week’s comic edition brought to us by Coric!

This wonderful comic features two of our officers RPF General, Z3ming (on the right), and RPF Lieutenant General, Yvng Baller (on the left) having a back and forth conversation!

Theme of the Week

In this segment, we will be announcing a different topic every week to challenge our artists and see what they come up with. If you would like to participate, post your art in #art with the hashtag we include here for a chance to be featured!

This week’s Theme of the Week was Home!

“o le fale o le mea o le fatu (the home is where the heart is)”, made by Lanie, RPF General

“ever since i was younger i grew up in the filipino culture and never really knew much about my samoan culture. as i grew older, i decided to educate myself (especially since lockdown and the pandemic allowed the time to explore). since learning about my culture, it has made me so proud of who i am and who i have grown to be and the art piece just encapsulates the beauty of what my culture is and it makes me feel at home :’)”

“blossom”, made by Missy, RPF Major General

“First, I just love drawing these flowers and the red sun art as well, and I am in love with cherry blossoms. I have pictures, stickers or origami all over my room with them so they remind me of home. I also would love to live one day for a few years near some!”

“house”, made by z3ming, General

“it is a house”

Thank you to everyone who submitted art!

Next week’s Theme of the Week will be… Spring! Spring has sprung, flowers are blooming and the raindrops are falling. So think of the cute season Rebels as you can create anything related to Spring! Make sure to put #rpfacspring in the caption when you post your work if you would like to be featured here next week! Don’t forget: art includes drawings, music, photography, paintings, and more!

All art presented was given permission by their creators to be included in this post. Never steal or take credit for another person’s work!

Thanks for reading!

Some guy was just like, ‘You rap fast, man. Like a little machine gun,' and from that moment, I was Lil Uzi.
