ART COLUMN – 1/20/22

Welcome to the Art Column! This is the fifty-fourth edition, and our reporters (currently Ella, Soup, Tomatoee, and Moonlemur) have seen and gathered some great artwork made by and for the Rebel Penguin Federation!

By definition, “art” can be best described as…

“…the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”

Due to this, the Art Column’s purpose is to promote all types of art. This includes whether it’s digital or physical, something you can hear or something you can see, and even if it’s RPF-related or not. However, please do also keep in mind due so many members in our group, not everyone will get recognized each week. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy our weekly gallery and keep creating!

Theme of the Month

Each month, we feature a different theme for artists to contribute to, and this month the theme was steampunk! If you’d like to participate in the next theme, post your art in #art with the hashtag included in this column!

“Steampunk Penguin” by Moonlemur, Lieutenant General

“A penguin inspired by the steampunk theme, drawn with pencil on paper”

Club Penguin/RPF Art

“Starbucks x rpf collaboration” by Lance, Second In Command

“This was a graphic I made of a concept for a Starbucks and RPF collaboration, featuring the flagship drink of the collab – the black cherry frappuccino. shout out to Gianna for coming up with the drink idea :)”

“The four arms of the four teams” by Yummy, Colonel

“These are the arms I made for the four teams of our winter Olympics, they were hastily drawn but this is the design I had in mind for them, the shield is the same shape as the arms of Norway as frozen is said to take place in Norway”

“Underground Mine Town” by Moonlemur, Lieutenant General

“A concept of a new club penguin room which gives penguins supplies for mining”

Other Art

“Christmas Lights” by gabgeirl, Third in Command

“It was one of the Christmas Trees in Dublin and I loved the lights and how vibrant they were. It was my first time travelling solo so I was just taking photos of lots of things but I think that the tree in particular was so pretty.”

Thank you to everyone who chose to submit art!

Next week’s Theme is… mythical creatures! mythical creatures are supernatural animals and hybrids that don’t exist in real life, they originate from ancient mythologies, stories, and folklore. Make sure to put #rpfacmythicalcreatures in the caption when you post your work if you’d like to be featured here next week! Additionally, those featured in the next Art Column will be rewarded with 1000 Rebel Cash! Don’t forget: art includes drawings, music, photography, paintings, and more!

All art presented was given permission by their creators to be included in this post. Never steal or take credit for another person’s work!
Thanks for reading!
