ART COLUMN – 4/21/21

Welcome to the twenty-ninth edition of the Art Column, where our reporters (currently Yvng, YipYorp, Sharki, and Cracked) see and critique pieces in the #art channel and choose which to feature from members of the Rebel Penguin Federation.

By definition, “art” can be best described as…

“…the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.”

Due to this, the Art Column’s purpose is to promote all types of art. This includes whether it’s digital or physical, something you can hear or something you can see, and even if it’s RPF related or not. However, please do also keep in mind due so many members in our group, not everyone will get recognized each week. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy our weekly gallery and keep creating!

Featured Artist

”The Steam Pirates” by Cap’n Cookie, RPF Private

Cap’n Cookie has earned the title of featured artist this week thanks to this amazing drawing made with colored pencils!
The truth is, Cap’n Cookie likes pirates, robots and steampunk so much that they just threw it all into the mix and got this outstanding piece as a result. It was made a year ago, and it took about four days to be made.

Club Penguin & RPF Art

Being the Rebel Penguin Federation, we have to include art related to us in this post of course! Here are some Club Penguin & RPF related art made by our fellow troops!

”HCOM Portrait” by Coric, RPF Brigadier General

This is another lovely portrait made by the talented Coric!

Top left to right: F6 and Elex, Middle left to right: Moon, Milly and Brenatto, Bottom left to right: Steax, Amoji, Penho, Sarah, Panini and Link.

”Fluffy” made by GameQuest, RPF Lance Corporal

Check out this cute drawing of Fluffy, the classic yellow fish from Club Penguin!

“Just some art I was randomly inspired to make. I think I managed to capture the Club Penguin style with uneven lines! I just really like the yellow fish for some reason, and decided to make some art of it. I used an image from the Club Penguin wiki as my source/model.”

”Penguin Artz” made by Somewhere, RPF Recruit

So many Club Penguin mascots have taken over this amazing drawing by Somewhere!

“I did this artz as practise for my much bigger project which will contain 100+ club penguin characters (mascots and non-mascots)”

Theme of the Week

In this segment, we will be announcing a different topic every week to challenge our artists and see what they come up with. If you would like to participate, post your art in #art with the hashtag we include here for a chance to be featured!
This week’s Theme of the Week was Music!

”AFBF notes” made by Ordep, Major General

”I made this drawing because i’m in the paintistic-age, it’s a new artistic movement where you use paint and do your art. Now you can say that i’m ahead of my time, thank you. I always wanted to be in the art-column, and it’s my time! I played saxophone and the only thing that i remembered about music was the notes. I did it, now that i’m here please, no pics, i’ll do an autograph session later 🙂 LOL. Thank you so much by answering my art with how it isn’t a pic, it means a lot for me, and a huge thank you for game quest for joining this artistic movement. Thank you guys.”

”Sounds” made by Toad, RPF Officer Cadet”

”I tried giving this song an edgy feeling, and so with that i added a sound going throughout the whole song. As the song “ends” the sound gets louder and louder until the end, therefore i named it Sounds.”

”MC Build Guitar” made by Jenske, RPF Colonel

“A guitar build in a bit of a red (hot) way, so its like its on fire. And it comes with a little music note, so it kinda looks like its playing.”

Thank you to everyone who submitted art!

Next week’s Theme of the Week will be… emotions! Emotions are a key component of our daily lives as well as art, since they allow us to channel our creativity and express what we are feeling in an unconventional way. Make sure to put #rpfacemotions in the caption when you post your work if you would like to be featured here next week! Don’t forget: art includes drawings, music, photography, paintings, and more!

All art presented was given permission by their creators to be included in this post. Never steal or take credit for another person’s work!

Thanks for reading!
