Hey there, Rebels! We are back with another edition of the Pet Column, where Art, Citrus, Ella, Gwen, Miggy, Morgan, and Patty show off the amazing pets of RPF! Puddinn
Name: Luna
Age: 2 months
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Favourite Snack: N/A
Morgan: How did you come up with Luna’s lovely name?
Puddinn: The moon is one of my favourite things in this entire universe, as a little girl, I always wanted a kitten, and to name her Luna! It fit her so well too.
Morgan: Does she have any fun little traits yet?
Puddinn: She’s teething a lot right now, so biting and attacking my hands have been her favourite thing, she’s a very active and funny kitten, she has soooo much personality already!
Morgan: Other than your hands, does she have any toys that she likes to play with yet?
Puddinn: She has her banana that has ruffled ribbons at the end of it! It’s her absolute favourite! She also loves the laser!
Morgan: A silly question, but a fun one at the same time, if Luna could have a magical ability, what do you think it would be?
Puddinn: Probably flying
Morgan: One more silly question, if you could travel to any fictional place with Luna, where would you go and why?
Puddinn: SPACE, to see the moon!!
FairyBlue
Names: Leroy (brown/tanned/white) and Lennon (pink-eyed white)
Age: 1.5 years
Breed: American Guinea Pigs
Favourite Snack: Leroy – carrots, lettuce, apples.
Lennon – Anything put in front of him
Gwen; How did you come up with their names?
FairyBlue: I actually wasn’t the one to name them. I adopted them from an animal shelter, and they had their names chosen by the shelter. Their whole litter had “L” names, which is how theirs came about.
Gwen: Do they have any fun personality traits?
FairyBlue: Leroy is a little nervous wreck. The poor thing is afraid of the air conditioner coming on, or the fridge making noise. He’s also the leading escape artist, always trying something when I have my back turned lol but he’s a sweetie who likes attention (most of the time) and he rarely makes a sound.
Lennon is loud and a troublemaker! Always putting something in his mouth that he shouldn’t and screaming when he hears the smallest bag crinkle. He’s also a cuddler, and sometimes his tantrums are to be picked up and held rather than begging for more food.
Gwen: So, you dressed them up for Easter, do you dress them up for any other holidays?
FairyBlue: I did for Halloween, just for a photo. Maybe over time I’ll have more for them! They really don’t like clothes though, so it doesn’t last too long.
Gwen: Do they have any toys they like to play with?
FairyBlue: I switch out the toys they have pretty often. They have a lot of sticks, Timothy hay chews in various forms, and wooden blocks. Leroy is rather attached to this red block he’s had for a long time, so I don’t switch that one out. I’ll even catch him sleeping with it sometimes which is very cute.
Lennon likes to throw his toys around which is kind of funny. He’ll also pick up sticks and bang them against his cage bars, I’m not sure what he gets out of that lol.
Meredith
Name: Winnie
Age: 8
Breed: Mutt/Boston Terrier Mix
Favourite Snack: Eggs
Miggy: Where did her name come from?
Meredith: It doesn’t really have a big story behind it, my family and I were throwing around names, and one of us threw that name out there and, after testing a few names out on her, we thought Winnie fit her and her personality best.
Miggy: How did you get miss Winnie?
Meredith: She was a rescue from Texas, my childhood dog was getting old and our vet told us getting a puppy would liven her up, so we found a local rescue. We actually showed up to meet another dog and that dog was adopted before we could meet them, but they brought out Winnie for us to meet and we fell right in love with her.
Miggy: Do you have a favourite memory or story with her?
Meredith: When we first got her, she used to loveee car rides, so I would take her everywhere I could with me, my favourite trip with her was through the Dunkin’ drive through, and they gave her a donut hole which I would have never thought about a dog being able to have, but we brought it home for her and my other dog to share, and they loved it so much. I thought it was so sweet and I cherish that memory because she doesn’t really like car rides anymore.
Miggy: If Winnie could have any magical ability, what would it be?
Meredith: Oh gosh, probably levitation, she has the highest hops and can get quite far off the ground when she’s really excited and she just wants all the attention, so I could see her using it to get people to pet her quicker and give her more attention lol.
Miggy: Does she have any fun traits or know any tricks?
Meredith: Not really, I always say she’s a cat stuck in a dog body, and has so many personality traits of a cat, she doesn’t really even like to play at all, but she’s super loyal and loves her time with her favourite humans and would spend all day sleeping on my lap if she was allowed lol.
