Everybody’s getting jiggy, there’s a Halloween party in my iggy! It’s time to step into this haunted edition of RPF Iggys, a column in which our team (Thomas, Rissa, Lemur, and Raven) scouts out RPF community members’ igloos and tours them with their builders!
For this special Halloween edition, our team interviewed three scarily talented igloo architects whose designs are so deliciously daunting they’ll haunt your nightmares for weeks to come. Every igloo has a story, and we’re here to talk about it! From the small pieces that come together, to the personal touch created by the builder, each part plays an important role in making up the igloo as a whole! Reader beware: enter these accursed ac-cribs at your own risk…
First, Thomas sat down with Officer Cadet Azuslaywa!

“I love all things spooky and scary, and joining CPJ just as the Halloween catalog came out last year felt like the stars aligning, so I KNEW I had to make an igloo based on my favorite holiday! I loved the Trick or Treat base igloo and wanted to expand on the theme of a neighborhood, so I turned it into a Halloween city street! A fave of those who visit is the tunnel! It’s a fun spot to hide from others and I can only hope it makes up for the fact the inside of the right building can’t be entered lol. I’m so happy my vision could come to life and I love how it turned out!”
We just had to know if the gargoyle puffle in the center of the igloo had a name. (We were not concerned with any of the other puffles.) Azuslaywa was delighted to inform us his name is Bartholomew.

Thank you for taking us on a delightfully dead-ful tour of your igloo, Azuslaywa!
Next, we took a detour to Colonel Yummy Palabok’s less-frightful fair!

“So my fair igloo is called ‘Yummy’s Epic Fair‘ because I was waiting for the fair for so long and I decided to make my own in my igloo. Originally I was going to make it Christmas themed until I realized I did not have much Christmas stuff, but I still added in Christmas trees at the back for more color and decoration. During my days in Animal Jam I really enjoyed decorating dens so I have a little experience in it. I started out by placing the bigger items (food and game stalls) first, then I added the smaller items like pinatas, balls, hay, and candy and gold piles next and there was an empty space in between the burger and juice stalls, so why not add in a pen for animals with water and hay????? After all that I added a few more decorations to the igloo with balloons and streamers and confetti, and done and dusted! It was really fun seeing everyone enjoy my igloo in the igloo raid at the beginning of the month, maybe soon I’ll make nicer igloos that could go on the CPJ newspaper?? Hehehehe…”
With all the fun prizes in the CPJ booths, we had to ask what prize penguins could win at Yummy’s Epic Fair. For simply juggling 6 puffles at once in Puffle Paddle (a perfectly achievable and not-at-all difficult quest), Rebels visiting Yummy’s Epic Fair can win a 3-foot tall plushie of Troy the puffle (pictured below)! Maybe there IS something spooky about Yummy’s igloo, after all…

Thank you Yummy Palabok for letting us have a blast at your Fair!
Finally, we waddled into Second in Command Miggy’s iggy and took a glimpse into her dark reality.

“So this igloo was made during Addams Family Halloweek 2025 in RPF! The contest team hosted an igloo decorating contest, so I got right to work finding inspo pics of their mansion. Of course it has my own twist, but I used key elements like moody gothic decor such as the pipe organ! I very much wanted it to still feel cohesive and intentional.“

One of Miggy’s reference pictures.
“Downstairs we have some statues, a tea spot, and other large old looking furniture, while upstairs is a study filled with all sorts of creepy kooky books and paintings! On your way up, there’s cathedral windows and puffle statues to really add to that gothic element. Of course decorating doesn’t stop at just inside the igloo. Outside we have grave stones and gates because it felt very on theme. The trees with the light shining through added the perfect touch to the inside. Fun fact: I won the igloo contest with this very igloo!”
When asked about her favorite part, Miggy shared, “My favorite part is the staircase and loft area! You can’t actually waddle up there though which is unfortunate, but I feel that’s what gives this igloo a little extra oomph and really makes it standout.” Miggy was also inspired by googling “Addams family mansion inside” because the results are the outside of the house.

Thank you Miggy for letting us fully stare into your twisted perspective!
We hope these eerie igloos sent chills running down your spine (or, maybe, it was just the thought of playing Puffle Paddle again that accomplished that). Thank you to Azuslaywa, Yummy Palabok, and Miggy for taking the time to share their haunted igloos with us, and thank YOU for reading. Fight the good fight, and we’ll see you in your nightmares…or the next edition of RPF Iggys!
