Welcome to the second edition of The Rebel Cookbook! Itโs a brand new Rebel Broadcast Column where our team, Ella, Miggy, Matt, Art, Raven check out yummy food from our foods channel and get to asking a little bit more about their dish! In this edition, we interviewed, Gabi, Meg, and Nelly
Gabi with Chappell Doughn

First up with Gabi
Making sourdough takes about a 24hr process from mixing to the actual baking, but the longest of this time is waiting for the fermentation to be just right. Unlike regular yeast sourdough takes longer to rise. The recipe she follows is simple:
A basic recipe at 65% hydration. 500g of bread flour, 350ml of warm water, 150g of Chappell, and 10g of salt. She’ll also sometimes use other stuff to add extra flavor, but this is the recipe for a basic loaf. To make such a loaf is all about experience and trial-and-error no two kitchens are like; baking the loaves are a matter of region climate and oven temperatures. Sourdough loves being on the warmer side while processing. How she became Chappell Doughn is because of a baking forum on Reddit talking about naming starters. Her name is the pun to the singer Chappell Roan.
Thank you Gabi for teaching us how to make delicious sourdough!
Meg with Charcuterie Boards

Meg likes charcuterie boards they’re really good she enjoys putting them together with her partner because it’s so much fun seeing how it all comes together. Sheย says the best spreads to add are cream cheese or honey.
Thank you Meg for showing us your delicious board!
Nelly with Fruit Yogurt Breakfast

Nelly loves a classic breakfast yogurt bowl; it is a Greek yogurt, blueberries, raspberries, protein honey crunch Granola, honey, and a spoonful of peanut butter. She’ll also do a sprinkle of some flaxseed because it’s good for the skin. She eats this everyday especially as a post gym meal. She’d also love to switch out some peanut butter for different fruit combos. All-in-all this delicious healthy dish takes around 5 mins to make.
Thank you Nelly for showing us your amazing dish!
