Troop Interviews
This week marks the 50th official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Rane, Cosmo, and Royal) ask two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked to give us a better understanding of each soldier and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of soldiers here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it will be difficult to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hope to see you guys in a post one day!
The five interviewees for this week are Brad – Panini, Mars – Lanie & MissyZ!
Brad & Panini
Hey all, welcome back to another edition of Troop Interviews! This week, we’re doing things a bit differently. Firstly, today I’m your host, Cosmo! Instead of ol’ Rane. Secondly, we’re gonna be doing group interviews with our newest Officers and Head Generals! So sit tight, and get your eyes wide, ’cause we’re about to dive into some epic interviews today! First interviewees are Brad & Panini, interviewed by Rane.
As you can see both of our new Head Generals are super excited for their interview!
How does it feel to become Head Generals?
Rane’s first question for Brad and Panini was how does it feel to become Head Generals. We’re all eager to see our newest Head Generals in action but how do they feel about becoming one? Brad’s responded with saying that it feels amazing and that he’s extremely grateful to receive this promotion, he’s also very excited to have a mentee of his own! Panini’s replied with a thank you to Rane for congratulating her, she said that she’s quite pumped to take on the role of Head General! She woke up to her promotion along with pings that were congratulating her. It was an unexpected and happy moment for her! She felt extremely grateful. Also, she’s able to see cadet chat??? Yes! You can sense the excitement in “DOOT DOOT”.

What do you guys think is the most important aspect of being a Head General?
Panini responded by saying that it’s extremely important that Head Generals are setting a good example for everyone they interact with. I do agree with that! Lots of Officers and Troops look up to Head Generals and aspire to be like them someday! But anyway, Panini also thinks that Head General comes with a huge responsibility and that it’s something Head Generals need to emphasize being aware of. Right you are Panini! Head General is an elite rank that has the best of the best Officers! Though that’s not saying that our other top-notch officers aren’t the best, I think they’re all doing extremely well in this era of RPF! Moving on, Panini says that as a “babey” mod and even as a troop, she really looked up to the Head Generals, and to become a role model for others. I’m sure a lot of you look up to Panini as a new Head General and admire her hard driven personality.
Brad replied saying that it’s a mixture of making sure that things are running smoothly moderation wise, whether it’d be Officers or Cadets, or even both of them at the same time. Certainly, I agree with Brad here, you’re the ones that will be running the place someday! So it’s important to take on an administrative approach as well! Brad also thinks that Head Generals should be approachable and a friendly figure that everyone can go to if they need advice or any help or assistance. Brad says that Head Generals make sure things are going the way they’re supposed to, whether it’s in chat, or behind the scenes! I like this, but Rane seemed surprised!!!!!!! Rane also hopes that it pulls through 
How Different does it feel to be a Head General compared to lower officer ranks?
Woah what a twist! Rane was KIDDING, Rane says that they’re the prime mods! And she also tells them to keep being amazing!!!! Brad heard promos???????? Rane for promo?????? (Maybe)))
Brad responded to the question by saying that there’s a difference in Head General and lower Officer ranks. He says that there’s certainly a lot more responsibility (but don’t worry, he’s definitely not complaining about it) Brad thinks that Head Generals have more experience, which they do! . Brad says that Head Generals become more of a guiding figure for lower Officer ranks. Yes, that’s extremely true! Like I mentioned above, everyone looks up to our Head Generals and they’re a great example of being experienced staff members.
Panini replied to the question by saying every time an officer ranks up, there’s always a sense of excitement and eagerness to get involved as much as possible. I also think that the more you’re involved with the community, the better you’ll understand it! Panini mentions that it’s a sense of responsibility; as Head Generals face new opportunities, whether it’d be mentorship with cadets or more chances to lead, it becomes more fun! Panini says that being a mod comes with new surprises every day and that she can’t wait to see what experience she’ll get with Head General! Rane acknowledges by saying “They grow up so fast”! And I must say, they definitely did!
Does either of you hope to earn HCOM? And what’s the highest rank you hope to achieve?
Rane’s next question was asking them if either of them hope to achieve the rank of HCOM, and what is the highest rank that they hope to reach!
Panini replied by saying that she’s having a good time where she is at the moment, she says she really loves being an officer. Officer was the best time of my RPF journey. Panini mentions that being a part of HCOM is one of those things where if the HCOM at the time think that she’s ready, then, by all means, she’d love to join them! There’s not a set rank that she hopes to achieve, in her own words “I’ll go wherever da wind blows”. Honestly, that was the same with me, so panini for -RANKS- maybe???
Brad responded to the question by saying that he’d absolutely love to earn HCOM one day, he mentions that it would really be such a great accomplishment as he knows that it’s no easy feat to reach! sell your soul to HCOM. Brad says that he admires HCOM a lot! He understands how much work and effort goes into running RPF smoothly for all of our troops! US mancala pls… Brad mentions that he would be honoured to receive an opportunity as a member of HCOM one day. Brad thinks Third In Command colour looks spicy, but then again so does Second In Command‘s colour 
Rane says Brad and Panini for Rebel Commander so it’s destiny!!!
Will Ms Panini Head marry Rane?
Milly, hope you’re not reading this part. Sadly we’ll never know what the answer was 🙁 2-4 business days are a lot!
What are some fun facts about Panini and Brad?
Rane’s last question to Brad and Panini was about some fun facts about themselves. Instead of answering for themselves, they answered for each other! I think that’s cute. Panini tells us a fact about Brad, she says Brad has a nice nose and likes to bark. Woof. AND HE ALSO DABBLED IN FURRY SERVERS??? Brad why don’t you hit up wolves :]
Brad shares some facts about Panini. He started by telling us that she likes to stay hydrated, she loves water he adds to it. He tells us that she also loves when people spam her DMs with “Aye panini, don’t you be a meanie”. So next time you’re bored, you know what to do!
Milly?? What’d you do with Rane!?
Before Rane concluded the interview, she asked if Brad and Panini had any last words to share, and that they did, Panini’s last words to share were “HOOF HOOF” team phoenix pride. Brad wants us to know who our next TOTW is brad4totw??

Next, up, yours truly did a joint interview with Mars and Lanie, who are our newest addition to the Officer team!
Both excited as always! So how about we get right into the interview!
How are you guys?
My first question, as always, is to ask how my interviewees are doing! Which it seems that both are of them are going pretty good, they asked me back and I replied by telling them about my favourite job doing interviews!
How does it feel to have become an Officer?
My second question was asking them about how they felt about being officers. Started with Lanie, she said that it’s crazy, she’s excited that she received an opportunity to become an officer and help out RPF. Which is exactly what we want from our top dawg Officers :D. She can’t believe that she is now an Officer, it’s kinda surreal she adds to it. She said that it feels like yesterday that she was a recruit! Oh and believe me I’ve seen all troops grow up to high ranks from recruits! And it is crazy!!
Mars says that she feels really good! She says that she is still adjusting in her new Officer position, she also mentions that everyone has been super helpful. It was surprising for Mars at first 😀
Why do you think you earned Officer rank?
My next question was asking them why they think they earned Officer rank. To which Lanie responded and said that she thinks they earned their rank because they’re always helping out and hyping up events, they also recruit so that they bring in new faces to the Rebellion. They also don’t shut up!! She added by saying they’ve done a lot to make RPF a better place, and that they’re excited to do more!
Mars replies by saying that she thinks she earned officer rank because she has been active in our main-chat! She also tells us that she’s been helping out new troops and working really hard to make everyone feel welcome and safe in the RPF! We love that honestly, feeling welcome, and feeling safe, two most important things! She also says that she hyped and attended many events throughout the week!
What are you looking forward to now that you are a part of RPF staff?
I asked them about what they’re looking forward to now that they are RPF staff. Lanie tells us that she is looking forward to working with other staff members and helping suture staff! Perfect, already thinking of ahead. She says that the staff welcoming her upon her joining the RPF was the first thing she noticed which pushed her to reach for staff herself! Role models! Gotta love ’em. She says that she’s excited to hopefully be a person that will push other troops to be the very best! Now those are some SOLID goals 😀
Mars replied by saying that she’s looking forward to helping out new recruits and make RPF a safe environment for everyone while having a fun time! She is also looking forward to creating lots of fun memories with other staff and just trying to enjoy the experience!
How does it feel to be able to access new permissions in the RPF server as an Officer?
I asked these two about how they feel now that they have some spicy new perms in the server.
Lanie responded by saying that it’s definitely interesting, she said that it’s weird to actually have any permissions because she never thought she’d get staff, her main goal was to reach scout medic (the best rank). Lanie says that she’s learning how to use them and hoping that she doesn’t have to use them, but she also won’t hesitate to use them!
Mars replied by saying that it’s really fun getting new permissions in the server, she says that she’s still getting used to everything, just settling in y’know, Her favourite part about it is being able to set up new roles to recruits! She says that it’s indeed a lot of responsibility and that she’s still learning!
Do you hope to reach HCOM status someday?
My next question was asking Lanie and Mars that if they think that they’ll be HCOM someday.
Mars responded by saying that she’d love to reach HCOM one day. She says that it’s a lot to think about in terms of balancing your irl situations with RPF responsibilities, but she’s not against the idea of it at all!
Lanie replied and said that she’s not really sure about the idea, she says she loves the idea of being HCOM, but she has a lot of in real life stuff to take care of. Lanie says that now she probably would decline the offer of HCOM, she also adds to it and says who knows what can happen in the future! She says if we’d ask her two months ago about being an officer, she would have declined, so it’s something we’ll have to see when it reaches that point! Always remember kids, irl > RPF.
Before I finished off my interview, I asked Lanie and Mars if they had anything to say before we finished off Lanie said that the interview was super fun! She said that the only thing she can say is Fight The Good Fight and that she’s looking forward to all the amazing and fun memories she’ll be making here in the RPF. Lanie also says if any of you all need any help, don’t hesitate to ask! Mars responded by thanking me for interviewing them (of course guys just part of the job). She say’s that she is really excited to take on this next step in RPF as an Officer! Ftgf!
MissyZ
We’re not done yet, Royal interviewed our newest Troop of The Week, and we’re all about it!

How did it feel seeing that you’ve got Troop of The Week?
Royal’s first question to MissyZ was how she felt seeing that she received the honor of TOTW. Missy tells us that she was shaking! She didn’t even think that she was going to get TOTW. It’s crazy she says. She was on the dentist’s chair and didn’t see the messages until she got home, all the congratulatory pings and messages made her the happiest person ever! Royal tells us she could barely type her speech when she got it, to which MissyZ said that she was pacing her room and her little sister was curious about why!
Why do you think you earned Troop of The Week?
Royal’s second question was asking MissyZ about what she thought is the reason she got TOTW. She replies by telling us that her attendance at events is pretty high, she goes to 5 or 6 events every week, she also recruited a bit. MissyZ tells us that she has 18 recruits overall! That’s fantastic! She says that she was active this week but more than usual, and she still did not expect it!
Any advice to other troops when it comes to getting Troop of The Week?
Royal’s next question, was asking for advice on how to get TOTW for other troops! Missy tells us that being active is key to success! She tells us that once she started to become active, which was mostly in August, it shocked her at how amazing the RPF community is. She says that she wishes everyone was as welcoming as our community is, we’ve made her happy :D. MissyZ says that once you get more active, it will be easy to stay active because of all the new friends you’ll be making. She says to also attend events, they’re fun and awesome, and she also tells us that maybe you’ll be leading tactics one day. Which is true, try to attend some of our U-Lead events pls
What’d your favourite type of animal (and any specific reason why)?
Royal’s next question was a non RPF related question, she asks MissyZ about her favourite type of animal, and why it’s their favourite. Missy replied by saying it’s definitely a monkey. It’s because she qualifies as a “baby” since she’s fifteen. So 2004 is the year of the monkey, and that’s why it’s her favourite animal! We get to see about Royal’s favourite animal as well: a panda!
So here Royal concludes the interview, Royal’s quite happy that she got to interview her own recruit! Royal thanks MissyZ for her amazing answers, and that she was fun to interview! Now both of them can match in their lovely pink colour.
