This week marks the eighty-fifth official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Yvng, Alienn, Emerald, Sharki, and Guinz) asks two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have the same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked to give us a better understanding of each troop and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of members here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it won’t be easy to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hope to see you guys in a post one day!
The four interviews for this week are Joseph, Gabgeirl, and Link3000
Hey hey, it’s Yvng and I’ll be your host today for this week’s edition of Troop Interviews! To start this off Emerald got the chance to interview one of our newest Officers, Joseph! Let’s not waste any more time and jump right into it.
Looks like we are ready to begin!
How long has Joseph been in RPF?
Emerald started this interview by asking Joseph how long he has been in RPF. Joseph responded by saying he was originally in RPF back in December 2018 through mid-2019. He would eventually rejoin the army in February 2022. He says that it’s nice to be back in the community and see all the changes and improvements RPF has made from back then till now.
Why does Joseph think he earned the Officer promotion?
The next question for Joseph was, why do you think you earned the Officer promotion? he responded with because of his good work ethic and consistency. He feels he is passionate about things he cares about and wanted to do a good job with his new staff duties. He also believes that he earned it due to him being staff a couple of years ago and he brings that he’s able to bring that experience to the team.
What does Joseph believe is the most important part of being a staff member here?
What does Joseph believe is the most important part of being a staff member in our community? Well, he answered with being a team player. He believes that you have to be able to work together with your fellow staff members and it’s important everyone does their part so things can run smoothly behind the scenes.
How has Joseph’s experience as a staff member been so far?
The next question Emerald asked Joseph was how has his experience as staff been so far? Joseph responded that it has been going great for him so far. He has been sharpening his skills and has learned a lot during his time so far. He likes that he has learned more skills since getting promoted in terms of moderation and staff duties.
What does Joseph look forward to as a goal in his RPF Career?
The final question Emerald asked Joseph was the goals he wants to achieve in his RPF career. Joseph answered this question because he wants to continue growing and learning new things. He wants to reach the rank of General one day because he wants to be able to mentor new Officer Caders in the future. He wants to also try and get to Third in Command as well if he can to be able to lead events and have even more responsibilities within the server.
Joseph’s final words for this interview were advising you will receive what you put in in terms of goals you want to achieve in RPF or even IRL. He stands on this quote he put in his Troop of the Week speech “Always Aim High” and continues to stand on that quote today!
At the very end of the interview, they thanked each other for the interview.
It was a very lovely interview between these two and it’s now time to move on to our next one for the day!
Moving on, Sharki got the chance to interview our newest General Gabi! Let’s see what the new General had to say!
How does Gabi feel to have become General?
At to start of this interview, Sharki asked Gabi how does it feel to have become General. Gabi answered with she wanted to make a mark on RPF in some way and reaching General has made that easier for her.
Does Gabi hope to reach HCOM status someday?
The question I think most people want to see in terms of future HCOM. Gabi answered this question with it has crossed her mind for sure and she wants to hopefully achieve this in the future. She wants to become more involved in RPF behind the scenes as well as visibly one day.
What does Gabi believe is the most important responsibility of being a General?
The next question Sharki asked was what does Gabi believe is the most important responsibility of being a General. She responded by, helping run events smoothly through staff duties you have to do during them. She believes if it’s run smoothly, it gives troops a better experience during events.
What advice would Gabi give to current troops aiming to be part of the staff team?

What has been Gabi’s favorite RPF memory so far?
For Sharki’s last question in the interview, she asked what is Gabi’s favorite memory during her time in RPF. She answered the question that she enjoyed WOW week as it was one of the first server events she got to experience. Now that is a favorite of her’s but her true favorite memory was the 2021 Winter Olympics and she had a lot of fun. One moment from that she remembers is her attending an event from her car while at a service station.
(Here is a picture provided by Gabi of her attending from her car)
After that question, they thanked each other for the interview!
That was a lovely interview between the two Generals. Now, let’s move on to the final interview of the day!
Last but not least, Alien got to interview the brand new Rebel Commander, Link. Let’s not waste anymore time and let’s see what they both had to say!
How does Link feel to be the highest rank in RPF?
To start things off, Alienn asked Link how does it feel to be the highest rank of RPF. They responded with its cool and ofc nothing can be -RANKS-. On top of this, they feel it was chaotic and scary at first but things have calmed down since then.
Why does Link think they were promoted to Rebel Commander, and has this always been their goal?
Up next, Alienn asked Link what they think of their Rebel Commander promotion and has it always been their goal. Link answered this one with they weren’t sure at first especially when the RCS approached them. They knew they were an active HCOM and able to make relationships with other armies so this helped. Overall they never knew if it was something they wanted to go for and never imagined themself at HCOM or even Second in Command in the beginning.
Does Link have any plans for RPF as a whole or themselves as Rebel Commander and what do they hope to achieve?
Alienn asked Link this question right afterward. Link answered by maintaining RPF’s growth within itself as well as the army community as a whole. Winning tournaments and reaching another member milestone would be nice to see as well. They also want to keep troops engaged and keep RPF as a community where people can come together and enjoy themselves.
What OG Club Penguin Mascot would Link like to meet and why?
Alienn’s last question for Link was a fun one and asked them what mascot they would like to meet and why. Link responded with Jetpack Guy so they can ask them about the secrets of the EPF. Also, Rockhopper would be cool and the same with Rory.
Link’s final words for this interview were thanking Alienn, as well as begging for Applebruh to be abolished, and I couldn’t agree more with them DOWN WITH APPLE BRUH!!!
I am excited to see what Link has to offer in their new role as Rebel Commander!
And that is the end of this week’s edition of Troop Interviews!
