TROOP INTERVIEWS – LANIE, Z3MING, LINK, SHARK, STEAX

Troop Interviews

This week marks the sixty-seventh official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Brenatto, Yvng, Mars, and Cracked) asks two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its own unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked give us a better understanding of each soldier and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of soldiers here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it will be difficult to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hope to see you guys in a post one day!

The five interviewees for this special Third in Command post, are Lanie, Z3ming, Link, Shark, and Steax!

Lanie and Z3ming

What’s up rebels! It’s Mars and I will be your host for this weeks edition of Troop Interviews! Starting off, Yvng interviewed our freshly new Third In Commands, Lanie and Z3ming! Let’s get jump on into it!

They both look ready so let’s get this show on the road!

How does it feel to have become a part of Higher in Command?

Lanie states that she never thought she would come this far and that she is excited for what the future has in store for her. Can’t wait to see what you two will achieve as Higher in Command:)

Did you ever think you would reach HCOM status?

Next, Yvng asks if they ever thought they would reach HCOM one day. Lanie states that her original goal was to achieve the rank of scout medic (that bright blue color sure is a fan favorite), but she began to push as she grew higher in the ranks. As for Z3ming, he mentions that he has always wanted to be apart of HCOM and with enough hard work, he has achieved it!

As well as always adapting to feedback that is given to you! Lanie mentions to work hard and always help others. I don’t know about you guys but I have my pen in hand taking and am notes right now!

What are some fun facts about you?

Yvng then asks for some quick fun facts about them! Z3ming states that he knows three different languages and can solve five types of Rubik’s cubes. I guess the 3 in Z3ming could stand for trilingual eh! Lanie states that she loves to sing and is always working on new music! And that she is a huge Disney park fan. Super cute!

Do you plan on changing anything now that you’re part of HCOM?

For the final question Yvng asks the two what new things they plan on fulfilling now that they are apart of HCOM! Both of them state that they are excited to adapt to the new duties that HCOM brings and to help out with fun things for troops!

Any final words?

Yvng wraps this interview up by asking for any final words! Z3ming states that he is excited for what lies ahead! Lanie shouted out those who have helped her get this far and says to keep fighting the good fight. I can’t wait to see all of the great things you two will accomplish as HCOM!

Link

Up next Cracked interviewed one of our fellow Third in Commands, Link! They discussed different aspects of being HCOM and how she has been adjusting to her rank over the past few months. Let’s check it out!

Lets get this interview started WOOO!!

How did it feel to reach HCOM?

The first question Cracked asks is how Link felt when she reached that bright yellow rank. To which she replies that it was a feeling of both excitement and surprise! Being consistently active is definitely a big helper. Super well deserved Link, it has been great seeing you flourish as HCOM!

How different have HCOM duties been as opposed to Officer duties?

For this next question Cracked asked Link what new duties she has been fulfilling as a Higher in Command compared to when she was an Officer. She states that Officer and HCOM do share some  of the same duties like recruiting. But now that she is HCOM she has been helping out more behind the scenes and working on organizing events!

How much have you learned since joining HCOM?

Then Cracked asks how much Link has learned from her experience as HCOM thus far! She states that she has gotten better at coming up with puns for tactics. I can in fact confirm that Link’s tactics are very punny,,, ahaha get it?  She also says thats he has gotten better at working with a team and becoming more comfortable with sharing her ideas!

What tips would you give to anyone aspiring to be HCOM?

Next, Cracked asks if Link has any tips to troops who aspire to become HCOM one day! Link states that working hard and playing to your strengths will go a long way. She also mentions to never be afraid to voice your opinion and that the most important aspect is to that have fun and enjoying reaching those milestones! I would have to agree, having fun is by far the most important part of RPF.

Have you ever considered retirement during your time in RPF?

Cracked next asks if the though of retirement has ever been on her mind. She states that there was one particularly stressful week in which retirement crossed her mind, but no permeant retirement plans! Although that screenshot shows otherwise, *sips tea.*

Any final words?

Cracked raps this interview up by asking if she has any final words for us! She mentions about how times have changed from when she once interviewed Cracked for his TOTW interview a little while back, super cute;) She also announces her that how water is superior to carbonated water (I shall not question this!). This interview was fantastic, let’s head onto our final interview of the day!

Shark and Steax

Last but not least, Bren spoke to our two recent retirees, Shark and Steax. They discussed the different ways RPF has changed and some of their favorite memories from their time as Higher in Command. Without further ado, let’s dive on into it!

How did you join RPF and who recruited you?

To get things started, Bren asks the two how they were each recruited into RPF and who recruited them! Shark states that she was recruited by Mochii on CPR during the water party. Steax states that they were also recruited on CPR, but by Silv! Mmmm CPR recruiting, what a classic.

If you were to be recruited in present-day, do you think you would still join?

Then Bren follows up by asking if they would still have joined RPF if they were recruited in the present day. Both of them state that they probably would’ve checked it out! Very interesting indeed!

How has RPF changed since you first joined?

Next Bren asks how RPF has changed since each of them first joined the server. Steax states that the server has grown so much in size within the past few years. Shark talks about how the event maxes have increased and how we have won quite a few victories together. She also mentions how the welcoming atmosphere is one thing that will always remain the same. <3

What is your favorite RPF memory?

Bren then goes onto ask what their favorite RPF memory is! Steax says that winning the winter Olympics with team Cerberus was a highlight for them! And Shark mentions that the very beginning of quarantine around April-May 2020 was a peak time for her because she was able to spend so much time on the server! (I do not appreciate this asterion slander though!) (not biased!)

What is your biggest RPF achievement?

Then Bren asks what each other their biggest RPF achievements are. Shark proudly talks about being able to lead the Tuxedo Times and work together with the rest of the staff on it! Steax mentions how they are proud of reaching HCOM as well as Team Olympia in the RF server. You two should definitely feel proud of yourselves for all that you have accomplished!

If you could have one superpower of your choice what would it be and why?

Lastly, Bren asks a quick non RPF-related question! If you could have one superpower what would it be and why? Steax states that they would choose flying so that way they wouldn’t have to walk places and Shark states that she would choose invisibility so she could be around people without them knowing! Super great choices you two.

Any final words?

To wrap things up, both of them say thank you for everything and to keep fighting the good fight! We miss you both and wish you the best in retirement!

Thank you to everyone who read through this week’s edition of Troop Interviews. We hope you enjoyed and got to know a bit more about our fellow rebels! Until next time and as always, keep fighting the good fight!
