This week marks the eighty-seventh official edition of “Troop Interviews”, where a team of interviewers (currently Yvng, Emerald, Guinz, and imatsoup) asks two or more people questions. Interviews won’t have the same questions; each interview’s purpose is to show originality and have its unique highlights. Along with that, the questions asked to give us a better understanding of each troop and how different or similar everyone is in the community. There’s an exponential amount of members here in the Rebel Penguin Federation, so it won’t be easy to get to everyone who requests an interview. The Rebel Broadcast Team graciously appreciates the patience you all have and hope to see you guys in a post one day!
The three interviews for this week are Yas, Mario, and Ash.
Yas
Hey there Rebels, it’s Guinz here, and I’ll be your host today for this week’s edition of Troop Interviews! Starting us off, Emerald interviewed newly promoted 2IC Yas. Let’s jump right into this and see what they had to say!
How does it feel to have become a recent Second in Command?
Starting us off, Emerald asks how it feels to have been recently promoted to become a Second in Command! Yas replies with saying it was quite unexpected but they feel honoured to have been promoted to 2ic.
What would the difference be between being a Third in Command and Second in Command in your opinion?
Next, Emerald asks if Yas feels there’s any difference between a Third in Command and Second in Command. To which, Yas feels there isn’t too much of a difference in terms of core responsibilities but being a 2ic is moving a step up from 3ic, and hence comes with added responsibilities.
What is your favourite part about being a part of HCOM?
Moving on, Emerald poses the question of how Yas feels about being a part of HCOM and Yas replies that they really like the work being done behind the scene and leading at events.
Any goals in particular that you hope to achieve as a Second in Command?
Emerald then asks if Yas has any goals they’d like to achieve as a 2ic. Yas states that their goal is to just vibe and have fun!
Do you aspire to someday reach Rebel Commander?
Being a step away from Rebel Commander, Emerald asks Yas if they have Rebel Commander in their sights. Yas responded that they’re not too sure but for now they don’t see themselves reaching that role anytime soon.
Is there any valuable lessons / advice that you learned from your experiences of being staff that you would like to share?
Away from the serious stuff, Emerald throws Yas a fun random question if they have any valuable lessons or advice from being a staff that they would like to share. To which, Yas shared that one of the main things they’ve learn as staff is to not give up trying and to sometimes take a step back to look at the bigger picture.
Any last words?
To end off the interview with Yas, Emerald asks Yas if there’s anything else they would like to share. Yas would like to wish all future/present staff members good luck and thanked Emerald for the interview.

Mario
Moving on, Emerald once again had the opportunity to conduct another interview, this time with Mario, one of our latest Troop of the Week. Let’s hear what they have to say!
Are you ready?
Emerald begins the interview by checking if Mario’s ready and thankfully they are!
How does it feel to be the most recent Troop of the Week?
Emerald proceeds to ask Mario how they feel about being the most Troop of the Week, where Mario said they were pretty shocked and never would have expected to have gotten the award due to their low rank and partially low attendance rate.
Why do you think you earned Troop of the Week?
Following up, Emerald asked Mario what they thought were possible reasons for them earning Troop of the Week. To which, Mario felt that it was due to the general pleasantness when they talked with people in Discord as well as putting in effort by attending events.
What are you looking forward to being Troop of the Week?
Next, Emerald posed Mario the question of what they are looking forward to being Troop of the Week. Mario wasn’t sure as school is starting soon for them and there really isn’t much they can do.
How did you come up with your username?
Posing a fun question for Mario, Emerald asked how they came up with their username. To which, Mario responded that it originally started out as their Youtube username and they had intended to use mariomania64 but it was apparently already in use so they just slapped a ‘2’ at the end and have been using it ever since!
Any last words?
Wrapping up the interview, Emerald asks if Mario had any last words they’d like to share. Mario would like to thank everyone for their support and hope to see everyone around during the school year.

Ash
Last but not least, we have Guinz‘s interview with Ash, a recently promoted Private. Let’s see what they have to say as well!
Are you ready?
To start the interview off, Guinz asked if Ash was ready and thankfully they were after a few moments.
When did you first join RPF?
Jumping into the interview, Guinz asked when did Ash first join RPF. Ash mentioned that their friend invited them on the 18th of last month (18th July 2022).
What’s your favourite RPF memory so far?
Guinz then asks if Ash has any favourite RPF memory so far, where Ash then recalls the fun they had attending their first ever event despite not remembering the details.
Is there any event in particular you specifically like?
With regards to events, Guinz asked if Ash has a specific event they like. To which, Ash replied that they enjoyed the pirate event (AYEEEEE)!
If you could lead or design your own event, how would you create it?
Guinz proceeds on to asking if Ash could lead or design their own event, how would they create it. Interestingly, Ash shared that they would create a fun event like a wedding fashion show where everyone could wear what they like. (We sure are looking forward to that!)
Do you currently have any rank/goals you hope to achieve in RPF?
Despite having been around for a short while in RPF, Guinz asked if Ash had any ranks/goals they’d like to achieve in RPF, and they replied saying they don’t know yet but willdo their best to rank up and make everyone proud.
How did you think up of your battle nickname?
As the war battles intensified, war nicknames were starting to become a norm and hence Guinz asked how did Ash think up of their battle nickname. Ash mentioned that it was very nice and sweet of the other RPF members to help think of the battle nickname, making them look cool!
Any final words?
To conclude the interview, Guinz asked Ash for some parting words, which they proudly stated “best game ever!”.
