Make Way for Marcus!

This week, RPF celebrated Marcus for earning the 402nd Troop of the Week award! In less than a month, Marcus quickly embraced Rebel life and rose to the rank of Specialist. Notably, he was a top participant during Legends Cup, showing great comradery and dedication for the tournament despite being so new to our community. For his amazing efforts, it came as no surprise Marcus was named TOTW!

Rebels in the Creative Spotlight

The ‘R’ in ‘Rebel’ definitely stands for ‘Runway’, as three stylish troops made their fashion debut in Rebel Broadcast’s newest Behind the Signature Items column. If you’re in need of some outfit inspiration or looking for ways to amp up your RPF uniform, take a look at the post to see their ensembles!

From the runway to the canvas, Rebels express their creativity through countless mediums. The Broadcast Team took a look through our #art-channel and gathered some stellar creations for August’s Art Column, featuring July’s theme, Legends, alongside plenty of personal artwork.

CANNONBALL!!! Summer is heating up, and Club Penguin Journey is packed with poolside fun for their Summer Splashdown bash! Our CPNews Team grabbed their flamingo floaties and created a party walkthrough and quest guide while taking a trip around the lazy river.

This month is all back-to-school fits alongside seasonal styles for the great outdoors. Our CPNews Team went on a fabulous shopping spree to uncover all the secrets for a hidden items guide!

Walrus the Good Walrus! After Worldly Winter Wonderland Walrus Wednesday (Take 2) was announced, through the day of the event, there were 476 mentions of walrus in #main-chat.
Steax excitedly lead the whole event, leading 33 word tactics and 35 emote tactics.

How busy were our miscellaneous server channels this week?

In #food, our members posted 29 pictures of their yummy snacks, and additionally, jealously commented on each other’s food 43 times.
Our #art channel received 26 submissions, but the Rebels were more talkative! They discussed the art 104 times this week.

It’s a bird? It’s a plane? No, it’s a new puzzle! This week, Legends Cup giveaway winner, Allegra, collaborated with Miggy to spin together a Fill in the Blanks! In each answer, one letter is underlined a different color. Then, use that letter to form a phrase at the bottom. Time to turn on the Spidey sense and solve this challenge!

DM Miggywaddles on Discord the solved Fill in the Blanks puzzle for a prize of 500 Rebel Cash and to progress towards the Blossoming Bookworm role!

Keep in mind, puzzle responses must be submitted before the next issue is released to be valid.

“Oh Mancala, the most dreaded tournament game for all HCOM who have had the pleasure of hosting tournaments. So dreaded in fact, that our Colonel Flo The 3rd hosted one himself! I interviewed him and the winner, our Specialist Euan, so let’s get into it!”

“I started by asking Flo why he chose Mancala specifically for the tournament. Flo told me that, because it is one of the least played games in Club Penguin, he thought it would make an interesting tournament. It is also one of the few minigames you can watch mid-game.

Next, I asked Flo what inspired the event graphic he created. He made it whilst being very sleep deprived. Worried people wouldn’t enjoy the tournament, he decided to lean into the ominous and edgy nature of the tournament. All in all, Flo was very proud of how the poster turned out! I find this design very fitting too.

Then I interviewed the winner of the tournament, Euan! First I asked how it felt winning the tournament, to which he answered saying it felt great, but rediscovering his love for Mancala felt even better. Euan was very grateful to play some very close games with some tough competitors.

My final question for Euan was if he could host any game tournament, what would it be? He answered saying Catchin’ Waves on freestyle mode, especially since there are many ways to rack up points.

Thank you for the interviews Flo and Euan, here’s to hoping we don’t play Mancala in the Olympics…”

Red, black, and white; RPF is here to fight the good fight! For Operation: Legends Cup XVI Grand Finals, the moment finally came! From winning QF and Semi Finals, the Rebels scored a spot at the GRAND FINALS! We logged on to CPAB – Klondike wearing our OG uniforms and prepared to face our beloved allies, the Army of Club Penguin. Each army gave it their absolute ALL, but who came out on top?
