Division Recap

 —◊ Headliners ◊—

The Rebel Penguin Federation has been up to quite a bit as we have crossed the middle of May!

Not quite previous news, but the Good Fight Gala is happening on Sunday! The Party Planning Committee have worked very hard to make this an exciting and memorable experience for all who attend!

Club Penguin Armies held their 2019 Legends Inductions, and four legends were made! DMT, Super, Koloway, and our very own Ultipenguinj! Big congratulations on the achievement, ulti!

(Arguably, the most exciting award goes to Pookie, for a unanimous rejection from the CPA Legends Roster!)

We also saw a uniform change! Check out the new items and make sure to get them all!

A sad event occured, where our budding feud of Apple juice vs. Orange juice was cut short due to server outages! Orange >>> though.

We also had a new Troop of the Week on Friday! Congratulations to our new TOTW, z3ming! Amazing work this week!

Most importantly, RF has been cooking up exciting events!

The Good Fight Podcast made an exciting return last Saturday with a special stream by Pookie of our Minecraft division’s kingdom!

Rocket held a Jackbox party event playing Quiplash 2 and Trivia Murder Party with quite a packed crew!

Chaos streamed the Indie Game Akurra, solving pixelated puzzles!

And Commando streamed his journey on AperionMC as a part of our Minecraft division! He streamed it on our shiny new Twitch channel, so be sure to take a look for future streams!

Content Warning: Update on the Club Penguin Community

Viewer discretion is advised, as certain topics may be explicit or disturbing.

What a week! There’s been certainly a lot of concern over the fate of the Club Penguin community as a whole. Multiple CPPSes have been shut down as a result of the controversy around Club Penguin Online. Several popular Youtubers and even former CPO Staff have come forward exposing explicit and inappropriate behavior by the owners of CPO. While we won’t share any content linked here, there are plenty of articles that explain the situation in further detail.

As a result, law enforcement have become involved, starting a police investigation, which has so far resulted in the arrest of an individual that worked on Club Penguin Online.

Disney has even become involved, releasing an official statement after sending multiple DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) strikes to different CPPSes,

“Child safety is a top priority for the Walt Disney Company and we are appalled by the allegations of criminal activity and abhorrent behavior on this unauthorized website that is illegally using the Club Penguin brand and characters for its own purposes. We continue to enforce our rights against this, and other, unauthorized uses of the Club Penguin game.”

Currently, the following CPPSes have either announced a shutdown, or have shutdown:

Club Penguin Online
Freepenguin
OldCP
CPPS.me
Super Club Penguin
Club Penguin Remastered
Club Penguin Brazil
Club Herbert

And that’s a wrap on the newest headlines for RPF, check back next week for another weekly set of Headliners!
