Autopsy Report

The Gotham City Police Department has been able to identify 7 suspects, each with their own motive and thrill for a kill.
Each day, a different puzzle will be released. By solving them, you will reveal a clue that will get you closer to finding the murderer. You are allowed up to 3 guesses during the course of the week. You are also allowed to guess (correctly or incorrectly) before all the clues are revealed.
Now without further ado, introducing our suspects.

Scarecrow
Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow is a man of science. His father – a failed psychologist – was obsessed with fear, and subjected young Jonathan to countless of experiments in order to find ways to overcome and master the ability to feel fear.
During one of those experiments, socially awkward Crane was locked in a basement, when his father died of a heart attack. Jonathan was forced to breathe in the fear gas his father had developed, until the police found him.
He later went on to become a professor of Psychology at Gotham University, where he also studied effects of fear until he was fired for his unorthodox methods. After that he took on his villain form – Scarecrow – and continued instilling fear into his victims. He perfected his father’s fear gas, and was dubbed ‘Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin’.

The Joker
Not much is known for The Joker before his arrival at Gotham City. Known mostly for his psychopathic tendencies and being the nemesis of Gotham City’s very own Batman. Identified by his green and purple outfits and his white skin and green hair, he is an unpredictable criminal, sworn to inflict as much pain to Batman and bring chaos to the city of Gotham.
He harbored a political role – Ambassador to Iran – after killing Jason Todd, to try and gain himself immunity, as well as Mayor of Gotham City. His career is short-lived, after he releases laughing gas and detonates a bomb at a United Nations meeting.

Poison Ivy
Doctor Pamela Lillian Ivy grew up in Seattle and went to university where she studied botany and toxicology. She was seduced by her professor, in hope she would become a human test subject. One of those experiments gave her the ability to control plants, produce pheromones that could be used to seduce victims, as well as immune to all poisons, viruses, bacteria and funghi.
She moved to Gotham City after the accident where she became known as ‘Poison Ivy’ after threatening to suffocate the entire city by releasing dangerous toxins, unless the city met her demands. Her goal was to find a location where her plants would be away from humans, and create her own ‘Eden’ in which plants take the Earth back from humans.
Not one to shy from politics, she has adopted a political career, as Mayor of Gotham City.

Mr. Freeze
Mr Freeze, also known as Dr. Victor Fries, was a well accomplished cryogenicist, fascinated by ice preservation of life since being a child. He met and fell in love with Nora. Nora was diagnosed with a fatal neurodegenerative disease that affects the brain. Grief-striken, Dr. Victor tried using cryogenic technology to create a cure for her. During one of his experiments, equipment malfunctioned, causing him to be consumed by ice, and turn into a cold–blooded figure that requires sub-zero temperatures to survive.
Since then, he has developed an array of freezing weapons, a cryogenic suit, and a thirst to find anyone to experiment on in hopes to find a cure for his wife.

Two-Face
Harvey Dent used to be one of Batman’s closest allies, and one of Gotham City’s best District Attorneys. After a trial-gone wrong leaves him awfully disfigured, his sanity fades and he becomes one of the most notorious criminals in Gotham City.
Like his face, he is split between “good” and “evil“, a moral-code villain, deciding the fate of his victims through the flip of a scarred double-headed coin.
He is obsessed with duality, chance, fate and the number two. His crimes are often tied to the number 2 and he often carries his weapons in pairs as well (2 semi automatic pistols for example). Several medical attempts were made to try and bring back “Harvey Dent”, with very few being proven successful.

Killer Croc
Killer Croc was born Waylon Jones in the slumps of Tampa, Florida. His mother died during childbirth and his father abandoned him as a child. He became an alligator wrestler at the local carnival, after being released from juvenile detention centre. That, combined with a genetic mutation that caused him to have green, reptile-like skin, dubbed him the name of ‘Killer Croc’.
He developed mob connections and established himself as a powerful underground figure in Gotham City. His alliances shifted often, resulting in him killing one of his first mobster allies – The Squid. His strength was much more of an average human, but his intelligence often went unnoticed and underestimated. More in touch with nature, he was a natural born swimmer, who eventually went and resided in the city’s sewer.

The Riddler
Edward Nashton, also known as Edward Nygma, also known as Edward E. Nigma, also known as the Riddler. As a child, Edward was a highly intelligent student, whose cleverness was often questioned by his father, leading him to developing a compulsion about truth telling and proving his intelligence superiority.
His conning background started with him opening a rigged puzzle booth at a carnival, tricking people into attempting to solve, unsolvable or rigged puzzles in exchange for money. He later evolved into The Riddler, the green and purple suited criminal, who loved to leave puzzles and clues at his crime scenes, a way to give the police (and Batman) clues of his schemes. Although not as physically gifted as Batman’s typical foes, his intelligence makes him one of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals.

Day 1
Gear up police pals. The suspect pool is large, and we need to narrow it down before another innocent life is taken. Our suspects all have the motives, the means and the excitement to commit such a heinous crime. It could be difficult to find the culprit amongst such an infamous group but we have to start from somewhere.
Whilst everyone was busy talking about the murder, Major Crimes Unit was able to make headway and piece together information based on the evidence at the scene. They will make you work for it though, so get your thinking hats on.
Your first clue is ready.
Heads or tails, decide your fate
Dark night, death did await
Dare not, to be fooled by clues
This time, they didn’t come in twos
