Welcome to Slytherin! 

Congratulations! I’m delighted to welcome you to Slytherine House. Our emblem is the serpent, the most cunning and wisest of creatures. Our mascot colors are emerald green and silver, wear them proudly! Named after Salazar Slytherine, one of the four founders of Hogwarts, Slytherine House is a force to be reckoned with.

What is Slytherin?

Why are you here? The answer is easy- It’s where you belong! The Sorting Hat never mistakes the mind of a Slytherin.You’ve been chosen for this house because you’ve got the potential to be great, in the true sense of the word. Slytherin is known for their pride, ambition, and resourcefulness. Don’t believe everything you hear from the other houses, we are not as bad as they say. All houses have produced dark wizards (even if they don’t talk about it!)  Much like our emblem, the snake, we are sleek, powerful, and frequently misunderstood.

Slytherin is the coolest and edgiest house in this school. We play to win, because we care about the honour and traditions of Slytherin. We protect our own; once you’ve become a snake, you are one of our own. If the Sorting Hat put you here, there is definitely something special about you so don’t you forget it! Welcome to the elite, fellow rebel.

Some of Slytherin’s most renowned members include Severus Snape and Bellatrix Lestrange. Did you know Merlin himself was a Slytherin, or that according to legend, the ribbon of a First Class Order of Merlin is green to reflect his Hogwarts house? Other well known members include Draco Malfoy and ofcourse, the Dark Lord himself, he who must not be named.
