Rebel Potter Week: Ravenclaw Results

“Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest treasure.”

Ravenclaw offers you a warm welcome! In case you haven’t seen, the Party Planning Committee has returned with a new project: Rebel Potter Week! Check out this post for more information as well as the Sorting Hat quiz. Read on to learn more about the house Ravenclaw!

Welcome to Ravenclaw!

Founded by Rowena Ravenclaw, this house isn’t one to forget. Ravenclaws are symbolized by one incredible bird: the eagle! Expecting something else? In truth, the eagle represents strength of mind and spirit. The house colors, blue and bronze, have a related backstory; blue symbolizes the sky and bronze symbolizes eagle feathers. Together, they convey a sense of flight, reminiscent of a Ravenclaw’s freedom of thought and creation.

Pretty cool, right?

What is Ravenclaw?

Ravenclaws are closely tied to intelligence, wit, and a fiery hunger for knowledge. They’re usually academically gifted and diligent students with a knack for logic and reasoning. Curious and observant, they have an innate desire to learn more about the world around them, solely for the sake of learning.

They’re the eccentric creatives, possessing interests that others may find strange. In the pursuit of such niches, they may resort to unconventional methods. Sometimes paired with lacking social skills, a Ravenclaw is often an outcast. Yet, Ravenclaws share an understanding among themselves, and they accept each other regardless of quirks. When their originality is cultivated, Ravenclaws can do incredible things!

Notable Ravenclaws in the Harry Potter universe include:
Garrick Olivander, renowned wandmaker;
Sybill Trelawney, Divination professor;
Gilderoy Lockhart, Defence Against the Dark Arts professor;
Cho Chang; and
Luna Lovegood
