Before we dive into all that has happened over the past 816 days, let’s take a look back at our roots! The Tuxedo Times began as an Insurgent Magazine, debuting in 2017/2018 and focused on interviews, poetry, art, and similar creative work.
In 2019, the magazine evolved into Division Recap, a feature still used today to summarize weekly events. Then, in April 2020, Rocket rebranded the newsletter, creating the Tuxedo Times as we know it today. Check out Issue #1 to see where it all began, and Issue #100 for the first major milestone!

Kicking off Tuxedo Times’ 300th issue with a rewind to Issue #200, where Litty went in-depth on our newspaper’s history Behind the Numbers style! Now, let’s see what has happened since!
In an effort to spark more engagement from readers, Mads encouraged Litty to revamp the Challenge of the Week after it ended in August 2023. In April 2024, she stepped in as Puzzle Master and introduced the first seasonal role for Rebels to earn through weekly challenges! You can find her puzzle debut in Issue #207.
Lemur also took things to the next level by bringing back comics in Issue #211, the last one dating all the way back to May 2023 in Issue #160!
Check out this week’s comics for a slideshow of every comic posted in the Tuxedo Times!
A new chapter began with the release of Issue #237, where Litty handed the reins over to Patro and Buhnny to takeover the newspaper in her absence. The duo, known as ‘Aunt Litty’s Puffles’, went on to create 9 issues together and even introduced new features like category headers. After Patro’s retirement in January 2025, Litty and Buhnny continued the momentum, with Buhnny focusing on weekly news and Litty handling the rest whilst leading the team.
In June 2025, the Tuxedo Times went on an extended hiatus. By October, Litty returned with exciting news: after leading solo for nearly 3 impressive years, she announced Buhnny as her new co-lead! Buhnny soon helped revive the team, releasing two massive articles to recap everything missed during the break.
The first was Issue #269: Summer Recap, TuxTimes Revamp, released on October 11th, packed with 6 puzzles created by Mads and 6 comics created by Lehky! Issue #270: Turning Over a New Leaf followed the week after, bringing everything up to date.
Driven to see the Tuxedo Times succeed, Buhnny focused on expanding the team by bringing on new comic creators and summary writers, while continuing weekly releases. In January 2026, Miggy went from comic creator to Puzzle Master during Mads’ extended leave, debuting her first Challenge of the Week in Issue #282!
Litty retired from RPF on March 12th, leaving behind a lasting legacy and a strong foundation for the team. During her time as leader, she released 93 amazing issues! Check out Issue #174 for her first published piece, and Issue #268 for her last.
Mads also retired that day, and Miggy waddled into her new role as the sole Puzzle Master! During Mads’ time on the team, she created 78 brain-teasing puzzles, along with 8 seasonal roles. Excitingly, since Miggy became the sole creator, the Challenge of the Week has broken 2 records: 59 submissions in a single week and 91 participants in one season thus far. Amazing work, Miggy!
As the sole leader of the Tuxedo Times, Buhnny continues to guide the team to success, bringing on two talented comic creators, Ihasparkelz and Kipbip, in January 2026. She also promoted Haleth from summary writer to head of the By the Numbers, with her first piece featured in Issue #286!
Now, the Tuxedo Times team is stronger than ever, and the best is yet to come!
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in the Tuxedo Times over the years. Whether it was being on the team, participating in puzzles, or simply hyping up releases, none of this would have been possible without you!
