2026 Summer Olympics Announced
Welcome to your new island, it’s a beautiful day!
Overlooking a New Horizon, the Rebels used their Nook Miles to arrive at a tropical destination on what seemed to be a deserted island… but to their pleasant surprise, a small town of Animal Crossing villagers welcomed them to celebrate the 2026 Summer Olympics! They’ve turned over a New Leaf and are ready to fight for the gold until the Closing Ceremony on August 30th!
Over the course of this week, teams Kofu (Resetti), Yuushi (Tom Nook), Ongaku (K.K. Slider), and Okane (Isabelle) will face off in 15 mini-game tournaments hosted on CPJourney. By attending at least 5 game events, along with either the Opening or Closing Ceremonies, participants will earn the prestigious Rebel Olympian role! Keep track of the team’s scores in the scoreboard.
In addition, one member from each team will be awarded the Team MVP trophy for showing the most team spirit, sportsmanship, and positivity throughout the week. An MVP does not have to win the most medals, but they are someone you can always rely on to hype up their team and keep spirits high. Good luck, villagers, may the best team win!
Euan’s Exciting Achievement!
Although Euan only joined RPF a month ago, he wasted no time finding his place in our community by quickly getting involved in chat, events, and other server shenanigans. He’s even joined our Penguin Regiment team to welcome more friends to our server! For all his efforts thus far, he easily rose to the rank of Lieutenant – and now, has earned the title of Troop of the Week #403! Congratulations, and keep up the amazing work, Euan!
Reporting Live From Rebel Broadcast
Hey, Rebel Broadcast! Welcome to my crib! This month, the team took a tour through three unique and creative igloos for their latest RPF Iggys column. From a pineapple birthday party to a snazzy pizza restaurant and ending with a chillaxing sandy beach, these igloo innovators really know how to amp up the place.
Next up, our reporters looked back on the Legends Cup XVI tournament in an in-depth Battle Review article. Check out the post for a full recap of our swift win against the Pizzaiolis, the tough fight against the Water Vikings, and, finally, a breakdown of the Grand Finals against the Army of Club Penguin.

“The Rebels are always cooking something up, and sometimes they post their goods in our #food-channel. Our Officer Cadet Puddinn is a long time poster in this channel, so, with an rumbling tummy stomach, I had to interview her.”

Puddinn posted her homemade chicken pho in the #food-channel!
“First off, I asked her what inspires her cooking. Growing up, Puddinn didn’t really learn to cook much despite having a passion for it. This passion grew when she took a Culinary and Restaurant Business class, where she met her culinary teacher who saw a sparkle in her. Her biggest inspiration is her family, who push her to try new recipes to cater to their palettes. She hopes to follow her dream of going to culinary school!
Next, I asked if she had a favourite dish to make, where she has 2 – her baked Mac and Cheese, and Pollo en Crema. The latter comes from Puddinn’s Guatemalan heritage and is a recipe from her grandma. This is Puddinn’s favourite dish, and has quickly become her children’s favourite too, with them having it at least once a week.
Finally, I asked if there was a specific dish Puddin would love that make that she hasn’t yet. Her immediate answer was brisket, which she will try to make when she gets a new grill with a smoker attached to it!
Thank you Puddinn for the interview! I’m looking forward to my cookout invite to come in the mail.”
Thank you for the report, Patty!
