On Sunday, the opening ceremony marked the beginning of the 2021-2022 Winter Olympics. Throughout this intense week, the teams Asinus, Crustulum, Dominus, and Orcus gave it their all, taking part in numerous game tournaments, eager to score medals for their teams and show their skills. Congratulations to everyone who signed up for these crazy competitions and to Team Dominus for coming out on top. Read this post to see who were the special troops that received the Team MVP role as well as the final scoreboard.

Halfway through our busy week, a new member of the Hall Of Fame was introduced. Second in Command Yodabobobo has been awarded the title of RPF Rebel for playing a major role in our army’s success during this past year. Congratulations Yoda!

The Contests Team announced the first Meme Contest of 2022 as well as the winners from the penguin-themed Recipe Contest. Find everything you need to know about the latest contest here; good luck!

This week’s Troop of the Week is cheyanne_c! She’s been a great troop ever since joining and throughout the week we saw her really come out of her shell, showing great team spirit and attending lots of events. Make sure you congratulate Chey when you see her around!

The Rebel Broadcast Team revealed a new series called Vet Spotlight in which they will be shedding light on the stories of different RPF Veterans. Check out the first issue here and learn about RPF Legend crazzy’s journey in our community. Later, the team published brand new Troop Interviews featuring TehLPSRemixer, thedillpickle, and i_am_rat_queen who talk about their time as Troop of the Week.

To start off the Winter Olympics games, we hosted a cart surfer tournament, a favorite of the biannual event! Operation: We Ride at Dawn was literally quite the ride as we donned our Olympics team uniforms again and rode over to Zipline. It was a thrilling time! Continuing on with the Winter Olympics schedule, we held another cart surfer tournament! In our Olympics team uniform best, we ran over to Abominable and had a wonderful event. After such a fun day with two cart surfer tournaments, we certainly had to have a third one to end the day well! All the Olympic uniformed ogres, donkeys, gingerbread people, and lords returned to Abominable to support their teams and cart surf for Operation: Sparks on the Rails. Second day of Winter Olympics! Hey everyone! For today’s Winter Olympics, we had a fun Dance Contest, called Operation: Dance ‘Till You’re Dead! The four teams wore their designated uniforms and logged on Zipline for this event! While everyone did amazing and showed their best dance skills, there were only top three winners from the teams. Continuing off with our Dance Contest, we had our second tournament of the day, Operation: Keep to the Beat! Each consisting of three rounds, Rebels logged on Abominable showing a great number of people attending! Wearing their teams uniform, everyone did splendidly with their tactics and formations then ending it off with another dance contest! Finally for our last Winter Olympics Dance Contest of the day, Operation: Cafe Disco, we logged on showing an amazing amount of people! Wearing their teams uniform, everyone did amazing tactics and formations on Abominable to then finish off with the competition! This event, Operation: Shore to Win, commenced the fourth day of the 2022 Winter Olympics with the game, Catchin’ Waves! The rebels eagerly logged on to Zipline with surfboards and high spirits! Following ten minutes of beachy tactics and wavy formations, we had twenty minutes to perform our best tricks in the ocean while holding out in the water for as long as we could! The rebels hustled back on to Zipline with renewed energy and determination for the second Catchin’ Waves event of the day, Operation: Off the Hook! Their enormous team pride and spirits were clear to see as they performed sunny tactics and steady formations, and then jumped into the water for round 2! No rebels were bored in this event, Operation: Are you Board Yet? In the final phase of the Catchin’ Waves Tournament, the rebels hopped on to Zipline once again, with one mission at hand: to coast through the last game of the day! We prepped for the gruelling competition with wave-breaking tactics and poised formations! And then it was time to dive in for round 3! Every rebel did a rad job, but three were radder than the rest. To kick off the fifth day of our Winter Olympics, we held a sled racing tournament to continue our Winter Olympics at an event called Operation: Snow No Mercy. The rebels pulled up to Zipline with their Olympic uniforms and performed some fantastic tactics and formations. After, they headed to the slopes to show off their dazzling sledding moves.
