We have a new Hall of Fame inductee, z3ming! His contributions to RPF in recruiting, leading/planning events and managing our Contest and Tuxedo Times teams has earned him the title of RPF Rebel.
Unfortunately, while we were at house eating dorito, phone ring. The words “club penguin is kil” shook the room. Club Penguin Rewritten has been shut down by Disney, and we were left without a place to play Club Penguin. Fortunately, we’re looking forward to the opening of Club Penguin Army Battleground, and hope to get back into events sooner than later. In the meantime, we’re enjoying some other activities together, like playing skribbl, watching Despicable Me 2, and some other in-server games.
The CPRewritten shutdown led to many lost penguins looking for a new Club Penguin Discord server, and hundreds of new members flocked to RPF. As a result, we hit our community goal of 13,000 members, and celebrated with some giveaways!
The contest team has anounced the winners of the Igloo Contest, so be sure to check out those well-decorated igloos here! There is also a new Emote Contest, in which you can submit your favourite emotes to be added to the RPF Discord server! See this post for more info on the rules and how to submit.
Our 243rd Troop of the Week is pogzol! They are a fun presence in chat and and attending our non-Club Penguin events while we wait to get our events back on track during these trying times. Make sure to congratulate pogzol if you see them in chat!

It has been a sad week with our favourite site shutting down. However, hours before that happened, the Rebels had the opportunity to go head-to-head in a practice battle against the Templars. We logged on to Ascent for Operation: Crushing Crusaders, as we did our best to compete. Both armies put up an amazing display of a flurry of tactics in well-practised forms. For a replay of our latest practice battle (and until next time), do check out our post below!

With CPRewritten remaining shuttered, we decided to have a movie streaming instead to bond with our new recruits for Thursday’s EU. After a community vote, it was decided that the Rebels would be watching Despicable Me 2. It was a fun-filled event as we grabbed our popcorn and headed to the Voice Channel to watch it together and comment about the movie in our Main Chat channel.

Friday’s US event was a fiery Virtual Card Jitsu Battle. The penguins teamed up in their respective branches for a spirited bout of virtual card jitsu. Teamwork and strategy were key in this game, determining the final winner: Air Force, with a matchup of red fire, green snow and blue fire.

Following up with our non-club penguin events, we decided to have a Club Penguin themed Wordle Tournament! Wordle is a word based game where you have to guess a 5-letter word in 6 attempts or below. The Rebels had lots of fun deciphering the various words given to them in a chance to win the tournament. However, the final victor of the tournament is Anya with a score of 16! Amazing work with the words Rebels!
