RPF Summer Recap 2020

RPF Summer Recap 2020

The Rebel Penguin Federation has been through a lot this year, namely its 13th anniversary since it’s inception in 2007, but things certainly picked up in the summer! From reaching new heights, to exciting events, battles, and tournaments back-to-back, there is a lot to cover – so let’s it break it down month by month!

June

We wasted no time jumping into the beginning of June, with an early AUSIA unscheduled event to celebrate Pride Month!

Later that very same day, we faced off against an old rival, EHUMA, in the first round of Legends Cup X, a famous tournament run by Club Penguin Army Media (CPAM) in collaboration with Club Penguin Army League (CPAL), with a victory maxing 93 troops!

After the battle, we witnessed a shake-up in our HCOM – with the retirement of Second in Command Starship, who had been in HCOM for exactly one year on June 1st, 2020. (ง’̀-‘́)ง

We also saw the promotion of Brenatto to Third in Command!

If you thought that was crazzy, we got another surprise! On June 3rd, Crazzy was promoted as the newest Rebel Commander – the first completely new Rebel Commander in quite a long time!

As we continued our journey into Round 2 of the Legends Cup X, we faced off against the Golden Troops, winning with a max of 93!

Next, we accelerated forward into the Quarter Finals, where we faced our ally, the Elites, maxing 91 rebels in another 3-0 victory to the Semi Finals!

It was finally time for one of the greatest challenges we’ve ever faced, Ice Warriors in the Semi Finals. It was an extremely close battle, but we maxed 162 rebels online, setting a record for most troops online in the RPF and won, advancing to the Finals!

In a climatic finale against the Help Force, we maxed 155 rebels and won in a clean sweep, earning us the Legends Cup X Trophy!

Here’s some artwork of our Rebel Commanders, Crazzy and Cosmo! This one is by athena.

And this one is made by Jaime!

On our way along our Legends Cup path, we also hit 100+ multiple times through June!

Toward the end of the month, on June 26th, we hit 9,000 members! Our next goal was 10,000, and we were just getting started with our summer activities!

For another end of the month surprise, we promoted Sharkboi to be our newest member of HCOM as Third in Command!

We also had a second Pride Event to wrap up June!

July

With July starting up, a month is a new chapter, and it was time for the Summer Olympics 2020! With Team Phoenix, Griffin, Terra, and Hydra! Who was going to come out on top?

To commemorate going over half way through the year, Tuxedo Times had a Special Report looking back on January through June of 2020!

We had a banger of an opening event of the Summer Olympics, maxing 115 across all four teams uniting as one!

The four teams played a multitude of games, including: Sled Racing, Dance Contest, Mancala (not US!), Card Jitsu, and Find Four! Here are a few highlights of when the stakes were high!

In an incredibly close and exciting race throughout the week, Team Terra came out on top with a point total of 540 points!

To wrap up our Olympic week, we invaded the CPPS Blizzard Armies successfully with a max of 86 rebels!

July would prove to be quite the exciting month, and a busy one too, when we declared war on the Doritos!

It was game day, and we turned on the burners to win this one, starting with our Invasion of Chinook, maxing a whopping 111 rebels online!

After this invasion, we publicly announced our newest alliance, the Black Ice Alliance! Teaming up with the Ice Warriors and Dark Warriors, our goal was simple – defeat DCP and protect one another.

Next, we invaded Frozen, another one of the Dorito’s servers. We successfully maxed 71 troops!

Finally, we finished the war by conquering DCP’s capital, Summit, with the help of the Black Ice Alliance, maxing 79 rebels just on our own, and with a combined total max of 153 BIA members!

The war concluded, and we wrote a recap regarding both the war with DCP and BIA’s founding as an alliance! The rest of the month was very calming after Legends Cup, Summer Olympics, and a war with Doritos!

The Medieval Party was on in CPR, and we had 2 very exciting weeks of knights, dragons, and princesses around the island!

August

Entering August, we had a spectacular Stamp Event, maxing 101 online to get some stamps!

After that, we launched a full scale invasion of Recon Federation’s existing territory, starting with Yukon. We maxed 97 and had a 3-0 victory, successfully invading the land!

Following the invasion, and after LGA was transferred RFCP’s only remaining land, Antarctic, to prevent letting RPF force treaty them, we released a post regarding our relationship with LGA, making them neutral instead of allied.

Warning: Mature Content Advisory.

On August 8th, we invaded Antarctic of RFCP, and maxed 86, winning the territory and wiping Recon off the map.

We also invaded PZF’s Iceland near our capital, Tuxedo, and maxed 74 successfully with a no-show from PZF.

Here’s a recap following the Recon and PZF Invasions.

During this month, Crazzy and Moon brought back a team from the past to give it new life… Rebel News Media, featuring an all new team, Rebel Broadcast Team!

As the Black Ice Alliance stayed strong in the months after its founding, we celebrated the leadership of Madhav2 from Ice Warriors with a practice battle between RPF and IW as a farewell event to Madhav!

In the practice battle, later reviewed by Jacquardio of RBT, RPF won 2-0-1 against IW, maxing 84 rebels at the event!

In other happy news, we saw Milly!!! 🕺🏻 get promoted to Second in Command for her incredible talent and commitment to her work in RPF in Party Planning Committee and beyond!

Near the end of the summer months, on August 28th, the RPF Server reached 10,000+ members! The server has been around since March 3rd, 2019, and we finally reached this impeccable milestone!

To celebrate this huge feat, we had an unscheduled event on CPArmies all about it – we even wore cake hats with big 10s on them! And, we hit a max of 50 rebels online!

Before the month was over, we had one more practice battle, this time against the Help Force, in an AUSIA showdown between the two armies! We maxed 59 in the battle – and won a narrow 2-0-1 victory!

As the summer ended, Club Penguin Army Hub unveiled the winners of their End of Summer 2020 Awards! RPF won a whole bunch of awards!

Best Army: RPF
Best Leader: Crazzy
Best HCOM: Elexonck
Best Reporter: Rosie
Biggest Retirement: Ultipenguinj

Also, World War Rewritten was deemed the Best War, and Legends Cup X won as Best Tournament! The RPF took pride in fighting the good fight in both of those!

And before you ask, yes, we held an unscheduled event to celebrate this massive dub – maxing 32 rebels!

And so, the Summer of 2020 in the RPF is coming to a close, with many troops and staff returning to school, and a few retirements rolling in. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge all the HCOM that retired this summer to honor their efforts in the Good Fight™!

In June, Starship retired from her role as Second in Command! She is forever fighting all members of RPF, and vibing in the Literature Division! Go stop by there and say hey to her!

Toward the end of July, we saw the retirement of Plane, a returning veteran of HCOM serving as Third in Command! We will always remember the dynamic duo of Plane and Wolves – and their love of Tense1983. WHA YU SAY x5 On 3

Speaking of Wolves, we saw his retirement as a Third in Command as well! Wolves are cool, and they forever will be with him around in the RPF. Fight the Good Fight Wolf! No one can come close to the orange toque and shades that he pulled off.

And that concludes the Summer Recap! We’re so happy about all the things we accomplished over the summer, whether you’ve been with us the whole way, or you joined us just recently! We will keep fighting the good fight, and we always prevail.

FTGF Forever!
